Very nice disassembly Nolan!

Thanks Mike, its been awhile since I've been in a transmission. Those bearings kicked my butt, don't recall ever having that much trouble. I'll get back out in the shop later and see what kinda shape the main shafts in. Might look at test fitting the breather too, @rkymtnflyfisher got me thinking.

question, what do those springs do? and if one is missing, worse case scenario?
They also prevent you from engaging 2 gears at the same time.

Get a manual and get dirty, take your time and dont over think it. Ohh. And make freinds with local crusierheads.. We have guys in our local club who started with no knoledge and with a little help have done amazing builds.. ohh and remember the ausie step 7 take a brake and have a beer...

Step 7 ??? Doh! we all thought it was step 1o_O maybe explains a few things. Have a couple of mates who are guiding me a bit, one a sparkie so big help with electrics as it all looks like hieroglyphics to me. I'm ok with body work & spraying so helping them with a CJ6 & Cj7 jeep rebuild.
Doing as much as I can myself but stupid stuff like rear ambo doors putting top hinges round wrong way, one step forward two back & finding bits from the strip down & wondering where the bloody hell did that come from??? All good fun as you all know:) Cheers

A couple of simple things over the last few weeks. Put a trailer hitch on the back, installed new brake pressure sensors (leak like hell, need to rethink those). Installed a rubber trim piece around my front headlight surround. I think that came out really nice, adds a bit of a contrast to the front. New mirrors from CCOT.

Leaking brake pressure sensors. Almost crushed a caddy on my way home the other day when my brakes gave out from lack of fluid.

Installed a newly rebuilt head for the second time. Machinist missed a crack on the last head.
Now I've been enjoying the drive in this warm December weather this week.

Time for new tires.... forgot how much of a workout it is. Doing the two rear myself so I can clean up the rims. Will probably take the other two in at a local shop. They can change them a lot faster than I!!!

Years of brake fluid sitting for a long time... came back nicely though.
