I taped the inside of my horn button so it doesn't rattle when I let it warm up in the morning
I put new wheel bearing seals in and replaced the star tab washer things for the bearing adjustment on the front wheels.
Probably gonna work on rigging up a hand throttle today with a bike shifter from work.
I'd like to see how you managed the throttle control via shifter, I was thinking the same thing, STI? Friction? Whats your thoughts?
Thanks
Garrett
Thanks 77 wagon and Lost Marbles
But its still none of those.
Im still looking for the thread where someone fits a full 60 series steering column and height adjuster to a 40 series? anyone know it?
Danny you are a legend! I have been looking for this for days.
I found THIS (< $36 with free shipping) hand throttle all I needed... mounts where you want it... I mounted it on the gear shift... ran the cable thru the firewall on the passenger side, then over the valve cover and directly to the bellcrank on carb linkage.
That is pretty genius!, did you run bicycle shift cable and housing or did you fab something else? Hmmmm, I'm going to have to take a look at what I can use, my 71 has the dash mounted knob but the housing and cable where cut by PO's. The versatility of your setup is nice.
