How do you stress yourself out when going to the hospital?
By driving a fat pig up to the 12th floor and back down to the 8th to finally find a spot in this multi-story mad house

Luckily I was there an hour early

Foxwing awning on a factory roof rack!!!

Our long term plans probably will include a Front Runner roof rack, but until we're ready to commit to that, we really want an awning. The plan is to have it (relatively) easily mountable/removable. I used a section of extruded aluminum which I permanently mounted to the existing track of the stock roof rack. I used a little more extruded aluminum to mount the awning to. This portion will probably spend at least 90% of the time off the rig and stored in the garage. It takes about five minutes to mount or remove it. The mount is super solid; the only real flex is the awnings back plate itself.

That's an awesome wingspan -- aside from providing ample shade, it might also allow you to BASE jump your LC...

Now officially running 5 BFG AT KO2s in 285/65-18

I didn't have the best experience with the previous generation KOs on my 100, so am rolling the dice a bit with these. On the 100, they disintegrated on the sharp desert rocks and barely lasted 20K miles. Since the 200 won't likely see the same trail torture (so I continue to tell myself and my wife), we'll see how it goes.

Replaced front pads. I was going to replace the rears too, but when I got to them, they had a ton of life left in them. I'll check them out in 20k miles or so.

I also placed a small order with SLEE. Should be here later this week and I can install the little present I bought myself. I'll post pics. :)

I emailed Slee to ask if they had any extra "Slee Built" stickers laying around. They don't unfortunately (or so they say). Anyone got one they could send me?

Clear moonless night, so only one thing to do.

Got new centercaps, clear coated them and tried them out. I still like the black. Has anyone painted the TRD red on black caps?

Oh hell yeah!!! looks awesome!!! Now if we can just get that fat B offroad;)

arich, I really like the machined down trim rings. I reread your posts in the "tire and wheel size database", what would retail be for something like that? I may look into getting that done here in Denver, or maybe ship to your brother in-laws shop if they would be willing to do it again?

I'm not a fan of a non-functional item like the "bling ring", but the Rock Warriors look naked without them. That said, it's an easy mod to just remove them entirely, but mine have the common rub marks under the rings.

I bought a replacement ring and new caps from jowett, he wasn't using them on his TRD's. I just need to select tires now, I want something superior in the snow for this winter in the mountains.

Paint shop did try to mask TRD logo and paint rest of the center cap black. Due to small logo it is tough to get good results. Every time while removing mask it damaged the paint and edges were not sharp. I was not happy with result so I went all black.

Didn't @MScruiser touch up his with a paint brush? (someone did in hot pink)
You could go all black and then color in the letters

I did, but I also wet sanded afterwards; if he's got a basecoat already, he will not be able to wetsand the lettering to clean up the lines.

The guys at ProFormance are doing a set of RUF wheels today. The PCed the center caps silver, applied 2 coats of liquid clear, masked the center logo roughly and then wet sanded the excess black off using an extremely flat surface and applied one more coat of liquid clear. It's a couple of man hours.
Finished pic later today.

And the finished product. The owner is going to make love to this wheel.
I love having an hour free on Fridays.
