Also replaced one of the rear tailgate covers. Previous owner told me they had a bleach bottle leak in the back while coming home from the grocery store.

The grey matches better than the photo is showing. It's not a perfect match though. I'll get it dirty so I'm not too worried!

Happily joined the ranks of 200 series owners this weekend with 3 steps...

1. Bought it (2013 with ~50K miles) and within a couple hours, was 40 miles from pavement camping alongside my 100

2. Used some otherwise idle time at camp to have my son pull the running boards

3. Considered doing this when I realized I'd have to haul them home

275/70 R18, I've only had them for a couple hrs but so far they are awesome. I need to figure out tire pressure (I have 35, that's what Toyota put in there now, not sure what others are running) highway speeds they are real quiet and I don't notice them at all. They feel heavier but I really don't notice any acceleration difference, not as Cush as the Michelins but look 1000 times better. Can wait to get them on the sand and snow.

I ran the numbers and "The Book" says you should be running between 40 and 41 psi F/R. I'd suggest starting at 40 psi (would not go any lower for onroad use) and bump it up from there, if you want, to see how they feel.

HTH

Thanks, as of now I have 38psi in them and they feel good. Not sure but would 40 be a big difference?

It might, cant hurt to try as long as it doesnt exceed the cold psi max of the tire. If you dont like it or it feels unsafe, you can easily bleed off the 2psi.

Hope they hid the body better. :;

40 psi gives you the same recommended Load Limit (adjusted for LT tires) as the stock tires and pressures on the door jamb sticker. This means your GVWR and GAWR's will be safe with 40 psi.

38 psi will reduce the Load Limit by approximately 80 pounds per tire - that's 320 pounds less Load capacity than the factory recommends.

It's up to you, but I doubt you will feel the difference between 38 psi and 40 psi; but the Load Limit will be safe. This could be critical in onroad situations that stress the load carrying capacity of the tires like emergency braking or cornering. Even not so "critical" situations like sustained high speed driving would be much safer at 40 psi than at 38 psi - the lower the pressure, the greater the heat build-up in the tires.

HTH

Edit to add:

Running lower than recommended pressures may make the tires feel more "comfy," or softer; but that's not safer.

How do you make a rainy NY day a happy day?

I modified something on the TRD wheels besides color. Can you find it? It's subtle.
Thanks Proformance Industries for the awesome work.

Brian Jowetts Tundra brake upgrade are also visible here. Powder coated the calipers and I have slotted rotors.
I'm still running Brian's Bilstein 6112 suspension. I love it.

You like or not?
I have silver centers and the black old centers which where destroyed.
The wheels, rings, and bolts were all individually PCed and then assembled.

You made it too easy for some of us by letting the cat out of the bag in another thread:D

Looks great!

Forum noob here...but not a LC noob. I recently sold my fully-built-up 100 series that I LOVED and drove everywhere (see picture)...and bought a 2008 200 series with only 48k on it. Love it...BUT...it's a mall cruiser and its killing me. I can't afford to do a full build in one-go like I did on my 100 (See below)...but...it's amazing what a difference even just new wheels/tires can make to the feel of the thing.

Pic 1...My old 100... In use! See "100-Series-Build" file

While this is not anywhere even CLOSE to my go-anywhere/everywhere 100 YET...

Don't even have a lift yet...but... it at least is beginning to FEEL like its moving in the right direction...

Cheers,

-Markuson (Forum noob)

Yeah. Frequent followers will ruin it.

PS. I say "forum noob" because I've been away forever...even though it says I joined in 2008. ;)

Cheers,
