I can't take credit for it, but someone suggested putting a cabinet pull handle in the middle of it to make the tray very easy to pull out...

I took my tray to the big box hardware store and sized it up right there...

The cabinet handle comes with screws... so just get some washers for both sides of the plastic tray for strength...

Cut some X's in the rubber mat so it will lay flat...

Measure and mark 3 or 4 times and cut once... LOL...

I got an industrial aluminum looking cabinet handle that looks like it belongs in the 200... (make sure it's not too tall)

It makes pulling the tray out at speed easier and without tip over type spills...

Yeah I may do this. Right now it's pretty easy to grab the little divider and pull the tray out since I don't have it loaded down with stuff. But the handle is a good idea if I can find the right one

What does that button do? Looks like the guy is in pooping position. 🤣
Seriously, what's that button for? I've never seen it before.

Finally got the trailer brake controller installed. Pretty straight forward, but had to get creative on mounting the main unit inside the dash.

Ejection through the windshield mode? No, @grinchy is spot on. The button activates Toyota's "Easy Access Mode" that puts the suspension to the lowest setting after you turn the truck off. It is supposed to make it easier to get into.

I did a few things this week. To start I did the @indycole mod and added a snorkel.

We also pull a wake board boat with our 200 so I added a Redarc brake controller. I like the function of the Redarc unit and really like the fact that the installation is clean and I don't have to add a "gawdawful" shin knocker in the driver's cockpit.

I also made some adjustment on my @TrekboxX Alpha system. I got these cool fridge tie down from David @TrekboxX and installed them. I like having more useable space wherever I can get it!

I also adjusted the top of the fridge dog house on the TrekBoxx system. I have a few thousand "overlanding" miles on this overall build and being able to lower the top of the dog house a couple inches was great for additional space. I really like the modularity and adjust-ability of the @TrekboxX system.

I also replaced the factory starting battery with a lead acid Interstate, changed the air filter, which was full of red dust from the Canyonlands, Moab, and Kokopelli trips, and changed my rear springs.

I went with the 2724 in the rear. With the rig loaded and wet (~8500#s) the ass end was dragging a bit and a little bit "spacey" with the 2723s. If anyone wants a great deal on some 2723s let me know!

I just did the same thing on the 2724's after dragging in Moab.

2724’s FTW!

My coil journey has been...
-Stock (of course)
-2721
-2722 (momentarily)
-2721
-2724
2725
-TT
-2724

Very happy bring back on 24’s even with sub-tank and heavy truck overall. Was on 24’s for Cruise Moab, and they were just right.

Anybody have discount codes from the usual suspects of OE part suppliers? Hoping for a Memorial Day sale, as I have an order that needs to be placed.

I did get an email from ToyotaPartsDeal.com the other day that they are supposedly having a Memorial Day sale. Try this website:

SuperBrightLEDs.com is also having a 10% off sale this weekend:

I checked the torque on the Bora wheel spacers today, and they were all good and haven't moved. Also I filled up the truck for the first time since Moab 3 weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised to see I got 15.1mpg on the trip home. Granted that was almost all highway, but considering a good chunk of it was going 75+mph and was fully loaded (for us that means 2 adults and a dog). I also adjusted the BP51s up to 6 on compression and they were already at 6 on rebound. Quick drive test on surface roads felt really good, but I'm curious to see how it will feel on the highway.

Motor scooter tagged us today. Biker was not even scratched (super lucky), which is part of the silver lining... plus plus... with two kids, wife, and a dog in the back we barely even felt the glancing impact of an 800lb Harley... love this truck!

Now onto new bumper decisions. Hmmm. Suggestions welcomed!!!!

Here’s to hoping the little slots on bumper cover used to secure it didn’t get torn off
