Finally pulled the trigger on my first mod, 285/65/18 K02s. Love the look and feel.

Ohhhh tires make such a HUGE difference on these rigs.... like takes them from straight grocery getter to looking like a mean, off-road machine.

So true.
ATs and no steps..., and voila! TRUCK. :)

Here’s mine with just tires and steps ya led (different wheels, but you get the idea).. oops. No steps in top photo either, but you get the idea.

Stock tires vs. KO2s (285/70/17) Both are Pre-lift:

That looks great, I need to get some slee sliders so I don't hear it from my wife and kids Everytime they are climbing in!

Since you mention Slee sliders....
Here it is with Sliders and a lift (before all the other stuff)...

BudBuilt Or TrailTailor?

Hmm good question... I've ordered parts from both places and honestly don't remember which place these came from. If they look like TT ones then they're probably from there. Either way, they're big, they're red and I think they look cool. lol

How is the clearance above the new points?

Yeah I thought it was kinda tight when I was putting them on but figured that was normal. It's right at 1.75" between the top of the tow point and the closest point above. But it looks like the synthetic shackles I was going to get are all 1" thick or less so I guess 1.75" is enough.
I was actually more worried about the size of the hole that you would put the recovery strap/rope/shackle through - it seems like it could be much larger (like at least 1.25") without impacting strength too much. But then again, I'm not an engineer so maybe not.
And yes, I looked just to make sure - these are the TT ones. I ordered slider-steps from BB but the backorder is so long I couldn't remember what I even ordered.

I notice the the inner edge of the holes on those recovery points are rounded so not sharp-edged. That’s important for soft shackles. On my ARB’s I couldn’t fit a hard shackle due to angle...and I ended up rounding the inner edge myself, since they were going to dangerously cut into soft shackles...!

Yeah you can tell they took the time to do these right and they were actually TESTED on the real world before being put on the market... The radius of the curve and the slick powder coating pretty much guarantee these won't damage any soft shackles you want to use.

Actually, they were not TESTED in the real world before being put on the market. I was one of the first to buy and the ones I got did NOT have radiused holes - not suitable for use with soft shackles. I tried to radius them myself, but was not acceptable. They are now gathering dust in my "mistakes" box. :(

Later version was radiused, so good for those who received them.

HTH

Haha... Tested in the real world BY putting them on the market... Oops.
Just run them down to a fabrication and they can probably radius them sufficiently for not much money.. Just an idea

Need tires and live in NC or upstate SC? There's a seller in Charlotte, NC with a set of KO2s in 285/75/17 claiming they only have several hundred miles on them. He switched them out for Ridge Grapplers. Ad says price is $800, I contacted him and he was willing to do $700 for the set. Unfortunately, he took too long to respond over Memorial Day weekend and I grabbed RGs on sale instead.
