@Bretthn what does an oil analysis tell you?

Update #2: The shop finally got back to me and they're finishing up the repairs! The total is $2344.95 and here's the list (keep in mind it's been at a reputable Toyota dealership so some prices are a little high):

* $1081.00 - 5 oil changes; 2 power steering fluid changes; 2 transmission
fluid changes; 2 differential case fluid changes; labor for engine
disassembly/reassembly
* $ 782.00 - Airbag control computer (existing computer is under the console
and got flooded)
* $ 347.00 - Engine belt idler assemblies - 2 locations (they were trashed
by water & sediment)
* $ 99.99 - Wheel alignment
* $ 35.00 - Air filter

The stock amplifier under the passenger seat blew due to being completely submerged but I've been planning on redoing my entire sound system anyway - including touch screen in-dash, door speakers, amp, and a subwoofer - so I chose not to let them replace that.

The other problem is the radio antenna is stuck in the up position. This is a problem for me as the place where I store my boat and camper has a very low clearance and I always hit the antenna on the top gate. Is it possible that because the amp is blown and not powering my radio that it is also not powering the antenna motor?

Finally got around to taking an anniversary picture, mainly for the difference in tint levels for @BamaHeel

Today I did brake pads all the way around.

replaced pads and included all shims which had been cut over the years in lazy replacements before my ownership including new anti squeal springs.

No. The antenna motor sits at the bottom of the antenna assembly. Check the FAQ - there should be a write up there about how to get to the assembly via the PS wheel well.

New rear brake pads and turned rotors today. Can't say enough, how helpful all the folks on the site are. Before I bought my LX last year, the most work I'd done on a vehicle was an oil change. Btw, I made the conversion from the AHC system on the LX a few weeks ago(by myself in the garage). Here is a pic finally, it's about the same height as AHC in high. Very happy to have a simpler setup now.

Signed paperwork and picked it up from the dealer. Put 20 gallons of freedom in the tank and drove from Denver to Avon. What a difference driving over those mountain passes compared to my tin can of a Civic. Very happy with the LC, and happy to know you folks are here sharing your experience with us n00bs.

Drove it over 250,000 kms yesterday.

Added IBS Dual Battery hook up. Feels....redundant??? Btw, if you're considering this, save yourself some of the hassle and slap that puppy in the glovebox. Longer means a bit more hassle..

Update: For those of you who know I sunk my Hundy in the creek a few weeks ago, I finally got to bring her home! Now begins the drying process. The foam matting under the carpet is SOAKED and I didn't want to pay the dealership to strip it apart and leave it to dry for a week so I decided to do it myself. After driving it home with no issues I parked it in my garage and took off almost all of the trim around the console and door frame that holds the carpeting down and stuffed cut pieces of PVP under it to allow air to circulate through and dry everything. I got 2 large fans on the passenger side (which received most of the water damage) along with a dehumidifier and another fan on the other side facing the drivers area. After I get a good majority of the water out of the easy-to-get places, I plan on putting everything back together and closing the doors with the dehumidifier and a couple buckets of Damp-Rid inside to get the remaining moisture out. I want to get all the water out that is possible to avoid any mildew odors that might arise in the future so I am leaving it in there to dry for about a week.

Another problem I'm having is there is water in the right front blinker and DRL housing (shown in pics below). What's the best way to get that out so it doesn't continue to cause more problems in the future? Does anyone have any suggestions or advice they'd like to share with me? I'm open to anything that might help/speed this process up a little. I'm just glad I got her back in good shape!

Can't you take out the matting ccompletely and let it dry outside in the sun?
This will give you a better dry surface for the interior of the car as well.

^^ Take it out and wash it using any number of carpet cleaning products and let it dry in the sun.

Even though you live in an area with high humidity (vs. the west/southwest), the sun really can do wonders.

What about the headlight?
