Took her skiing on opening day! She handles very well on the snow! I was impressed by the Michelin LTX's performance!

Did the Powerlines yesterday with the 4wd club. It was the first time I took the car there and had a great day. Some of the visitors told me that I made it look like it was easy. No wheel spin. But I cheated with the front locker in.

Nice! Now those on the other side of the Pacific are trying to work out how to drive their cruisers on power lines!

Sears has a 20% off sale today through Tuesday on the group 31 and 34 diehard platinum marine batteries. I ordered myself a 31 online! I bought the slee battery tray a couple weeks ago. I should have pickup and install on Wednesday when I fly back home. :)

Mounted my home brew aluminum rack made from two welded together atv ramps. The powder coating and gamiviti towers helped give it a more professional look.

I saved $1200 over what Santa Monica Toyota wanted for replacing the steering rack thanks to MUD and Beno. For being the most dreaded job. It didn't seem that bad. Took 6hrs while also working on a Land Rover. I'd do it again and could probably do it in 3hrs.

I'm sorry to say I don't have the pictures to go along with some of the recent changes.. actually, more maintenance than anything. Over the last couple weeks, I've had to fix what damage was done during the last couple runs, specifically the 4 feet of water that the 100 tried to swim across.

- pulled the interior carpeting, soaped and pressure washed the whole thing, dried by the fire for 3 days inside..
- sprayed the floor with rubberized paint to help seal each rubber grommet. added wire looking to all wiring, secured down properly.
- had a pulley tensioner sieze, ordered a new one, plus an idler pulley than had the bearings fall out.. thank you water.
- new serpentine belt since the tensioner siezed and pulley broke when it wouldnt turn;).
- Throttle position sensor, giving a fault code.. again.. water
- pulled intake manifold and rebuilt starter - all the copper contacts were corroded and it barely turned over.. she starts like a champ now
- pulled apart alternator and cleaned it out
- pulled all fuses and vacuumed/ cleaned/air gunned the sludge out.
- pulled front hubs apart, found inner bearings on ds side damaged.. races were fine, so i replaced all the inner and outer bearings, repacked with new grease
- wrestled the rear speed sensor out of the axle.. it is showing a code with the diagnostic port. a bunch of metallic junk on the magnetic sensor.. still didn't reset the code and is showing a fault.. i have ordered a new speed sensor from yan.

Just put an order in for front and rear lockers.. i was deciding between ARB and TJM, but considering the amount of seal and o ring issues with ARB (not that many), i went with TJM.. good reputation in Australia over 20 years and less moving parts.. either way they are both good options. I included master install kits with include all wheel bearings, carrier bearings, pinion bearings, oil seals/gaskets, shims, solid spacers etc for the install and rear axle maintenance.

I'll get this install sorted out and onto the next addition:

SPC Upper controls arms
headers
mid pipes
exhaust
air conditioner compressor
timbren bump stops
roof rack
roof top tent

take out some dents .

pictures to come when lockers arrive and install starts.

285/75/16 BFG AT and 2" ironman lift.......added new CV grease and Pfran clamps as temp fix

Added '07 Tundra rims/tires on my '02 LC. Looks great! Sorry no pic. :whoops:

Lubed the drive shaft and finally got around to finishing the sound proofing.

What brand and how much difference did it make? I thought my LC was quiet until we got the 04 LX. It doesn't have any 'dynamat' in it of course, but little thinks like felt headliner and pillar covers, external door gap seals, etc all make a difference and now my 00 LC seems noisy!

What all did you do for the sound proofing?

Looks like he used dynaliner which I think is another version of dynamat. I've read the stuff is awesome. But prob wasn't cheap.

Slee group 31 battery tray and diehard platinum marine battery. Cranks up so much faster. Almost 284k and going strong!

Oh yeah, installed EMS Catback exhaust about 2 weeks ago and love the V8 roar. Puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key.

Yup, not cheap. Kinda spread out my expenses over months at a time so it didn't feel like it hit the pocket book all at once.

I used Dynamat Extreme for first layer, then topped off w/ 1/8 Dynaliner.

A little overkill, but it sure quieted down all the unwanted vehicle/road noise.

Glad to hear! Or not hear in your case!

I'm using the sound deadener showdown products. CLD tiles placed strategically them closed cell foam then mass loaded vinyl. I had a few sheets of luxury liner pro left over from an old job that I used in the driver and pass foot wells.

Hoping for a really big improvement. $650 in materials and lots of work!
