Added Slee Blueberry and rear bumpers. Running boards are looking especially lame now, but with little ones I gotta wait until sliders are ready to replace them.

Same problem here!

I love stock LX's with no running boards. The perfect mix between luxury, and ruggedness. These trucks are very capable in stock form, sliders are very cheap compared to door panels. I'd invest in some sliders first. I wheeled for 3 years before getting sliders, one mistake and your door won't open.

Yeah, taking off the running boards makes a HUGE difference.

I know I know, sliders would be the wise choice. But I dont plan on wheeling this hard anytime soon, and REALLY want some bigger tires. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some cheap 285's on Craigslist.

Added a mag mount home brew skull siren and when night wheeling, what else!

Got the pfran LED kit and backup lights installed. Looks great !

Also re indexed the rear wiper so that it is perfectly level !

You can also see most of the interior has been removed for a thorough cleaning and to run CB and new radio/amp/speaker wiring. Might even get a wild hair up my arse and do some extra sound deadening.

That's on my short list. Want more sound deadening.

I too like the look. Although in my part of the world road sand and chemical used for deicing are harsh on the rocker panels. I need to find some matching " mud flaps" for the front and get my boards off, any available?

I thought they were options in other markets and somewhere around here you can find what you need to run factory front mud flaps... though DIY is probably (ok, almost certainly) cheaper.

Thanks, I did not know factory's are available.

Well, I couldn't take it any more, running boards are off and it makes a world of difference. I guess I'll just have to give the kiddos a boost in and out. Sliders are actually in the garage, but can't go on until I delete the ahc.

Today I turned the key and drove it

Plans seems to be the same for the next 150k miles or so

At times a miss my land rover, Then, I don't.

You can have mine. Original 2003 in good cond. ;)
G'day mate, I appreciate your offer although the shipping cost may be prohibitive. If you ever get up this way bloke, lets raise a pint or two.

I realized this morning my trail fix on my broken heater t's left me with no heat. It was a brisk drive!
Why no heat?

Refitted the front mudflap and tested the mini-VCI.
It works.
