Fixed the intermittent C1340 DTC (Centre Diff Lock switch goes open circuit) by removing and cleaning the switch, then resetting the DTC with Techstream <<- all insights from ih8mud - thanks guys.

Wow. Looks awesome. I am now broken down in Moab with a bad tps/apss. Yeah me. Cruiser Dan is overnighting me the parts to a dealer in grand Junction co. We have to drive to the dealer in the morning then back to moab to fix my 100. Wooo wooooo.

Seems like this needs to be a standard item either in the 100k pm, or as spare parts to carry in the truck.

I also lost both HIR high beam bulbs at the same time last night one shattered and one burned the filament. I thought it was the combo switch but CDan was right and said that it sounded like I lost both bulbs at once. Picked up two new ones and I am back in business. Now I just need my parts to arrive in Grand Junction tomorrow am, drive from Moab to Grand Junction to pick them up, come back to Moab and get my rig back among the living and then continue the camping trip with my sons.

Wow! Both HIR's at once??!! That sucks! How long did they last? I believe the ones in my original 100 series have lasted 5+ years now.

So the truck is still drivable with the tps bad? How much is the part?

Repacked driver and passenger hub bearings and spindle bearing. Also tightened up the tilt steering pivots. Can't stand a wheel that bumps around.

The pivot screw has the blue paint next to it.

The steering wheel outer shaft pivots on the smooth end of that screw.

Unfortunately, the tip of the screw is slightly smaller than the socket it fits into, which leaves a lot of slop felt in the wheel. I trimmed a piece of electrical tape and wrapped a couple wraps on the screw and reinstalled. Problem solved!

Looks great.

I changed the oil, greased the drive shafts and washed it for the first time in months.

Yup both at once. Lasted about 20k miles. Kinda bummed but better than the combo switch.

Driveable but not on the freeway. I am with a friend, we loaded all gear into my 100 from his 4runner and drove to Grand Junction and back. Picked up the parts installed the throttle lever sensor. The truck seemed great. Shut it off, went to go get groceries and the problem came back. Luckily I bought both the throttle lever assembly and the tps. Apparently all I needed was the tps. 397 for both with fedex over night Saturday delivery from Albq. to Grand Junction. I will swap the tps tomorrow am. Hopefully it all works after that. It will suck to have the rig stuck in Moab if not.

Finally got around to sanding down and rattle canning the scrape marks on my now not-so-virgin sliders from my participation in the American Fork Canyon rescue a couple of months ago. Decided to let the dents in the bottom rails stay as-is.:beer:
