looks good Anthony....you know you call it cheap but aren't all brands just a piece of plastic with mounting screws....not sure yours is cheaper (material wise) just price wise....
anybody have pictures of cv boot ruptures? trying to determine if I should reboot or just clamp (200k) on DD, put an IM 2 inch lift on 2 weeks ago and it just started slinging goo from bottom side of cv on both sides.

If your CV is simply leaking, I would just simply clamp it. A ruptured boot is going to need replacing. I've lost several boots to low laying brush and branches that got lodged in there. You can always apply a RTV adhesive as a short term bandaid.

"Mods" like this one are probably why the other sections make fun of us 100s behind our back.
Replaced the dash lights with LEDs. Replaced the license plate lights with semi high powered LEDs and replaced the brake lights with dual stage LEDs. The new brake lights turn on noticeably faster and are slightly brighter. (I had the old lights in the tailgate light and the LED in the corner brake light. So I could def tell the delay).

Anyone know if the license plate lights can we wired to turn on when the lift gate is opened?

Well this has been the week (more like past couple weeks) to do it up for me:
DT Cat-back
BIOR Rear w/ladder, tire carrier, jerry can basket
wired up a 3' firestik to the firestik CB/AM/FM splitter
installed a Yakima Sparetime rack on the spare, which required some considerable hacking to make the mounting plate accommodate the LC's bolt pattern. Who knew it was that rare?
A million other little things in between. I think next on the list is noise deadening as road/exhaust noise increased significantly after relocating the spare. Front wheels are chirping a bit after adding the weight in the rear so I'm probably due for a re-alignment. I'm also getting a sound that sounds like someone flicking a plastic cup coming from my front passenger side so it's probably about time to overhaul the CV's. This truck has definitely become a hobby.

Ordered a Slee BlueBerry front bumper which hopefully will be installed next weekend if the Cruiser gods allow...
Do they dim? I did PFRAN's set up in my 1989 Grand Wagoneer, it's almost to bright for me to drive at night as I personally like a dark cabin at night.
Yeah they dim. The range seems smaller though. I have to figure out what the other dash bulbs are so everything matches. The brighter ODO and whiter numbers on the gauges look better IMNHO.
I left the D light burned out. That being bright would be annoying. I also left all the warning light bulbs OEM. Just changed the illuminating lights. there are 6 along the top. The cluster of three in the middle at the top are for indicators not illumination.

I purchased an 05' One Owner! Not sure which way to go with it. Thinking I will do the OME torsion bars, up 1", 285's, Billsteins, TJM front bumper and winch. The best thing I have done this week is buy it and drive it.

Congratulations! The 05s are nice. With 1" lift the bilsteins will be fine. But if you go the full 2.5" lift, use a longer shock like the OMEs.
Completely new front brakes: calipers, pads, and rotors. $1400. 3rd set of everything at 140k.
Frozen.

Les Schwab here in the PNW is a large tire retailer and practices complete replacement of all components with aftermarket pieces.
I worked for the dealer for almost 20 years, its very rare that we replace calipers on rigs. Unless their is water contamination or neglect with never replacing the fluid it's hard for me to swallow.
Most failures were from these aftermarket components leaking or seizing. Customer would come in with a braking complaint from noise, pulling, pulsation or smell. If inside warranty their claim was declined and more times I could count customers were not aware the calipers were replaced.
Three times seams to be theft by misleading in my eyes.

All OEM at the dealer. Frozen calipers are notorious on the 4Runner and other Toyota trucks.
