Went to buy oil & filter for my first very own service @ 290k & found this air compressor

PU99M Midas Style 12 V 35A 200PSI 98L/m (3.46 CFM)

Now I am looking into plumbing it in or just plumbing in a refillable R143A refrigeration tank with hose & quick coupling systems

290K in Africa!? Km's I assume? Diesel or V8 and what kind of duty does it see?

Yeah km & diesel 1HD-FTE, has been the owners vehicle for the biggest private construction company in Zimbabwe. 12 mining sites each with heavy construction machinery and this hundy used to visit all 12 every week all over Zimbabwe. I have been to the Zambezi River & Vilankulos, Mozambique, and all the trails on our farm

That's awesome! 5 speed auto?

Putting the third set of Dunlop GrandTrek AT23's on. We get nearly 50k out of them.

Cleaned up the engine bay

Had the valve cover gaskets replaced, and spent an hour cleaning up 11 years of dust and dirt! Looks pretty good for a 11 year old engine bay!:)

Finally checked the bearings on my bumpers swing outs......needless to say, I shouldn't have waited 4 years... I have noticed some resistance recently, but pretty much ignored it, not the best idea. I was able to clean up one side and reuse, the other sides bearings were toast....also noticed my alternator is toast, replacing that this week...bearings on that are shot, as well.

Finally fixed my torn speaker grill..

Cleaned out all the garbage and loose change that had fallen out into the second row seats. No more crap rolling around when I flip the seat up... Followed the FAQ and it took about an hour...

New marine grade battery terminals, new Pcv valve, cleaned leather and ordered everything to repack wheel bearings next weekend

Will do...get some info and photos after my four day trip to the desert! Hope all is well!

Very nice!

Pics when you can. (If there not a thread)

This is on my short list. Though I'm a little more OCD on the fittings and placement.

Used a diluted cleaner spray the guy at the detail shop gave me, and a microfiber cloth. It's amazing that my truck with 180k has never had an oil leak, till the VC gaskets had to be replaced.

Traded my 285/75/16 Nitto terra grapplers and wheels for cleaner wheels, cash and worn 275/70/16 Michellin LTXs. Since gas is still $5 in CA, I might wait until closer to my next trip before putting on bigger rubbers.

Removed my stock roof rack (how to coming soon). Washed and waxed the truck.

Started installing a new rack... (How to coming soon).

Yeah 5 speed auto, Dunlop Grandtrek AT 22's on now up front & Bridgestone Dueller H/L's at back, will swap round at 300k, have a set of AT 20's that also came with the vehicle but I put the AT22's on after a granite mountain trail and 2 slow punctures.

I used Castrol Tection Global 15W 40, 7 liters of it, but I still can't pick up oil on the dip stick & I took out about 7 liters... Now what

Filter was a GUD Z230... Maybe there is oil in the filter that I can't get out when I tried to drain it?

Checked online, 1HD-FTE takes 11.4 liters with a new oil with filter.... 10.1 without.... Only 8.5 came out, must be losing oil but no indication to show, only smokes if I put my foot down hard, and only for a short while when the engine goes from 1km/l upto about 4km/l...
