Greetings, 80 series guys and gals.
Today I join the ranks with our first 80 series.
I have owned 40's, 60's, 62's and was looking for a mint 80 when I found my current a 100. I found this several months ago listed locally for sale. Got an appointment to look at it in Dec and a few days later our account was hit in the Target CC breach. So I made a deal with the owners, paying their asking price and they could keep my deposit if I couldn't pay it off within 2 months. This was a 3rd vehicle for them and worked out for the both of us.
My girl wrote a great ad for our Jeep Grand Wagoneer (Woody) and the first family to come out and drive it, bought it.
So we paid off this 80 and now I have several weeks ahead of me to figure this out. With the health issues I've been having the past few months, this will be a well deserved project an hour or two every night.
The goods, excellent condition in my eyes. Central Oregon two owner truck with great history.
The bad, the head is off and in the back. Customer was told that needed to be rebuilt and the lower end would fail if not the whole engine be rebuilt. So they had it picked up and parked and listed for sale.
So we have big plans for her with a budget build, making her 100% reliable.
