Continuing to baseline the LX this past weekend.

Opened the air filter this weekend and was horrified to find a nest :frown:. Went to dealer and bought a new filter immediately. Amazingly there wasn't a single spec of dust on the other side of the filter. I continue to be impressed with OEM Toyota parts.

Removed paper weight from the frame.

Topped off the low AHC reservoir. Will need to flush the system soon but didn't have the extra time.

Returned the "Laser Measured" weathertech floor liners after being underwhelmed by the sloppy fit. Instead got the regular All-Weather floor mats for the first and second row. First row fit splendidly and the second row fit fine enough after trimming. Used the old and dirty carpet as a stencil to trim.

Nice ride. So you must have sold your 335 pretty recently then? Since MHD has only been around for like two years (I was one of the very first beta testers). Ken Atkinson is a good dude. I am running a Wedge right now :D. The look of utter shock and dismay on the face of the drivers of the unwitting exotic car poser here in LA when I smoke them is priceless!

Thank you. I bought it stock from an older gentleman in Raleigh, NC with 31k miles on it in July of 2013 and built it all myself. Euro delivery car, 1 prior owner, 6MT, jet black over saddle brown and every option except for NAV which is exactly what I wanted! I got really lucky to find one so close to home.

I sold it back in September 2015 with 68k miles on it. I was also a beta tester for Martial, Ken and the MHD tunes. I began testing for them back in January of 2015 and tested for their Stage 2 and E40 tunes for about 6 months until June of 2015. Ken is an awesome guy, I really enjoyed working with him! Martial was more behind the scenes and asked more for feedback with the interface so I didn't get to know him as well. From what I've heard from my friend's who still have 335's and MHD, they are still making a ton of progress with the interface and adding more and more features which I'm really glad to see. Shows that the N54 platform is far from dead!

looks like a 5 series
Oh nice, which one?

I just sold our 2013 335i MSport about a month back to make room for my fantasy. A lightly used Porsche 997.2 S. Hoping the winter months see some price drops so I can finally pull the trigger!

That being said I'm still a huge BMW fan and probably always will be. My wife still drives one and lately she's been talking about an X5 diesel which would be totally fine with me!

Roof rack, sliders, rear bar, and front bumper with fender guard rails are done. I was going to powder coat them but couldn't find anyone that could get to it for a couple months so I dropped it off to my paint guy yesterday. He took everything off today and prepped it, going to spray them tomorrow. After that I have to mount the winch and wire up all the lights including a new 50" light bar and a couple rear lights mounted to the roof rack.

I have to cover those damn ugly gold badges up as soon as possible.

Front reminds me of the 80- AOE

I was going for a mix between the Slee and ARB. I like the sides of the Slee but also like a full bull bar, this was the best I could come up with. The rear is modeled after the bumper I had on my 80 series. I'm really happy with the way everything turned out. I'm looking forward to getting it back tomorrow, it's been gone for almost 4 weeks

Replaced my fuel filter yesterday and decided to cut it open to see just how bad it looked. I WAS SHOCKED.

Apparently it's never been changed in its 260K miles.... :bang:

So after seeing your post earlier, I went outside and looked at mine. Looks original. Started looking for OEM replacement all were at least $28 incl shipping. Found one from a private seller NIB on ebay for about $12 incl "fast and free" shipping!

Spent some time last night installing my single ARB drawer with Roller Floor. Brilliant piece of item. Solid. The side kit though, isn't as flush as I'd expected. I'm thinking this was made for the 2003+ models and wondering if anything exists for the pre-2003 models.

Also, ARB install instructions SUCK!!!! They should do better.

Either way, happy with the addition and perhaps in future I may consider getting a second drawer. Looking forward to loading up the rig and heading for a trip in the bush.

**********UPDATE. Side fit kit sent were the wrong ones. New ones are on the way*****

Just got my 05 LX back from the dealership, airbag recall done, ahc flush, brake fluid flush, diff fluid service, transfer case service, air filter, and a couple of bulbs replaced all for a grand total of $749. I've gotta say I can definitely tell the difference and the drive is a lot better.

Just finished the starter replacement.

Holy hell.

Also, turns out the one that was in there wasn't original! It was a Bosch that lasted at least 100k...

@bushdoctor Care to post a pic of your seat covers and iPad mount?

I'm liking the drawer as well. I honestly didn't think of just doing one side.

But it's growing on me. Can I ask why just the one side?

Looks good and solid I see.

Changed my anntena mast. Had to pull the assembly out of the fender to get the old toothed plastic cable out. Easy 30 minute job.

Also pulled about a pound of wet muck, dirt and leaves out of the bottom of the inner fender behind the fender shroud. Going to pull both sides fender liners and hose all the crap out. It's nasty. I don't know where the entry point is for this stuff but if it's coming off the road surface, you northern folks with salty roads, make sure you get a hose in there.

@173,920 Pulled front and rear prop shafts to replace ujoints- then took them to have the new ujoints(OEM) installed, rebalanced and repainted. Did a diff & transfercase service, and an oil change too.

@10ga - looks great. Did you do the fab' work yourself?

They say the first step when dealing with addiction is admitting you have a problem. I prefer to say that I have the worlds Greatest and most Understanding wife. I told her I was starting my own LC club.

Long story short... White 2000 LC with light bar in bumper is primary family vehicle. It was rear ended in October. Settled with insurance 2 months later and bought the truck back (if I'm really lucky it wont get a salvage title!!). No frame damage, needs rear lift and tail gate, and have rear quarter panel pulled. Bought the black 2000 LC as a "parts truck" from south central Louisiana because it has 307k miles and didn't run. The non-running issue turned out to be a very simple fix, and for the mileage it runs amazing. No rattles no squeaks. I decided for the time being to keep the black one as a "spare", it just needs a very thorough deep cleaning inside and some basic maintenance. The hunt began for another parts truck. One week later while searching craigslist I found the other white 1999 LC 7 miles from my house in north Texas. I promise this one really is a parts truck. It runs good at 277k miles, but the body and interior are in rough shape. It does have a factory rear locker that will definitely end up in my white 2000 LC, along with lost of other parts. I'll steal a few parts for the black one to make it nicer. After I have scavenged everything I want from it, the rest will pop up in a new thread under the parting out section of the classifieds.

I didn't, had a local guy in Maryville, TN to do it. I've used him in the past and he's good and reasonable.

Thanks!

Here's the bumper he did for my 80
