Good looking build! Can the drawers be removed individually? ie, keep just the left side in, vs right side?

Thanks!

Yes, they can both be removed individually. If you look at the 7th photo down, you'll see a nut and bolt extending directly out of the wooden side of the drawer. Then you can see the flat peice of metal protruding that it's up against. That's what stops each drawer. All you have to do is remove the one nut/bolt one drawer and it will come out.

Awesome. Did you attach to the 3rd row latches? Have you run just one? Any issues with the one moving around? I built a 2 drawer system (see attached) and will be helping my brother build a system like yours and we have been discussing how to mount them.

Ahh sorry. I misunderstood what you meant. They're not modular. I thought you meant remove one of the actual drawers, and not the entire half.

If you check my build thread, I started building it modular and the design is pretty easy. It did bolt to the 3rd row using J bolts from Lowe's.

I scratched the initial modular design though because it was a lot of excess materials and work to make it all work together. You also lose significant space in each drawer. I really thought about it and couldn't think of a single scenario where I would need one drawer and one 3rd row. If I need the 3rd row, I likely am not camping or anything that requires a drawer since I have 6 people in the vehicle.

You can get a lot of width building it the way I did. If you look, I staggered the front and middle vertical supports to take advantage of the extra width around the wheel wells. My actual drawers are nearly wheel well to wheel well in width.

Thats really been my thought so far. I can't see when I'd want just one side, but I'm just the helper on this build :)

I'll take a look at your build thread, i missed the link in your sig on the first post

Did a lot this past weekend. My cousin fabbed up sliders last fall and just got them installed. Sliders are not finished gonna reinforce the feet that mount to the frame so I can hi lift on them

Installed 1in coil spacers, cranked the T bars and Fox 2.0 in the rear. Already had OME 865s
I also have 285 General grabber AT2s. Here is my truck next to a stock worn out 100

Those look great! That's at the top of my to do list. I'd like to take the route you did.

You have a build thread?

Thanks! I do, check my sig.

I kind of just did a photo dump but feel free to ask questions is something doesn't make sense. Disclaimer: it was not easy. I definitely took probably the most difficult route. It would be much easier to build the entire thing from wood and use heavy duty slides. I went with metal and skateboard bearings so I could make it very structurally sound, and slides get nasty here in NM with sand. With the skate bearings, they're sealed and I can replace all of them for ~$50 if they get filled with sand. Also, the using the bearings allowed me to design a latch actuated drawer lock which allows me to lock the drawers open in 4 different locations using just the t-handle latch: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and fully open.

I blacked out my grill and removed some emblems on the rear and painted the Lexus emblem and the chrome the same color as the grill.

Ive been thinking about doing this to my LX470 also. Im certain that its the same color!! Do you like how it turned out?

Looks good @redman333, what paint did you use? Or is that Plastidip?
It's plastidip. I used 4 coats of plain black. Then 1 light coat of copper metallizer, 3 light coats of silver metallizer and one more light coat of copper again.

I love how it turned out! I have done plain black on other vehicles of mine but it tends to look like a faded flat black. I didn't want that. This way it has a slight metallic black look to it and semi gloss shine.

Best photo I have of my grill which has the gun metal color with graphite metalizer. The graphite metalizer looks awesome on the gun metal grey and the black. I bought something like 15 cans of it lol

Some black crows s*** on the Hundy in the gym parking lot. Thought about getting out the 357 mag. And shooting them but since it would be against the law I passed on that option and took the beast home and cleaned him off. Life's a bitch.
