Finally got the drivers side exhaust manifold off, welded up the crack, and installed. Feels so good to not have that damn ticking on start up anymore!!!

It took about 8 hours total on my LX, it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after everything I read on the forum. I was working at a slow, leisurely pace, and probably could have shaved 2-3 hours off that time if I have an extra set of hands to help me as I got it back together. I wrestled with getting the cat back mounted on the manifold for about 2 hours alone, could have been done in a few minutes if I had someone else to help me get it aligned.

Was it causing any issues with your CEL coming on? I'm getting the catalytic converter code (p120/130 or something like that) but I've heard a cracked exhaust can cause it to do that. I only hear the ticking about every 5 startups, so I'm assuming it's that but need to do some more checking into it. Just not sure whether to attack exhaust leak or O2's first.
Winch was delivered. Now waiting on dissent bumper to be built/delivered

I wasn't getting any codes, just the loud ticking on cold starts. Sometimes it would continue even after the engine warmed up, sometimes it wouldn't.
I would reference the code on the forums and see if it comes up with anything. I'm not aware of any codes related to the cracked manifold issue, but I haven't looked into it at all.

Got a rear bumper for the LX.
We departed for a 700 mile road trip this afternoon, in the 100. New radiator installed!
Rewind - Yesterday around 5pm
"Honey my car smells like syrup".
A quick look under the hood revealed a cracked radiator. The fan blades were spraying coolant everywhere.
Luckily, my local Toyota parts counter accepts orders until 6. If the parts are available at the Jacksonville hub, they have them the next morning by 7.
My shop is literally on the same street, blocks away, so I can grab them on my way to work.
I've been buying parts there for over a decade, so they sell to me at cost.
The radiator swap was much easier than I've encountered on a 60 or 80 series. Using all oem parts + the fsm makes it a 1.5 banana job.

Had the LC 'Waxoyle' treated this week, it took a couple of days for them to fully steam clean and blow dry then treated with Waxoyl, there was a fair amount of surface rust but nothing too worrying, at least now it should be fine for another 5 years or so.....
