Nice job. Did this a couple months ago minus the dynamat. Wife was pissed too. However she ended up helping out. Took a total of 4-5 days. However a good portion of 1-2 days was waiting for things to dry. I pressure washed the carpet and cleaned the belts. Definitely clean under the 2nd row seat covers. Nasty under there. Good job.

thats awesome @Perfectmax , how long did it take you to strip the interior? can you post pics of the install?

Not too long actually. Be passively aggressive with all trim panels and they come right off. I'd say you could replace all carpet in 4 hours tops.

As for cleaning, it goes get a little nasty under the carpet. Simply Green literally works miracles. This stuff cut the sticky crap much better than anything, even goof off.

I think I'm going to add this to my list of things to do in the spring. Park the cruiser in the driveway, rip out all the seats, and just clean the hell out of it just in case.

You'll have no remorse once you get it back in and realize how much external noise is eliminated. Back seats in mine are very quiet and I didn''t even do both wheel wells.

The antenna met up with a bush at 50 mph, and got itself wrapped around the PS mirror, lol....I was able to carefully bend the mast back so get some reception, but that won't last long

Replaced front and rear shocks. Replaced both the hood and rear lift gate struts. The cruiser did the stealth dash D light mod.

yup. it is no more.

Did a bunch of things to the Cruisers this weekend, but by far my favorite was mocking up my Hutchinson 17" beadlock wheels with Toyo MT 35x12.50r17's on my 2000 LX. I need to figure out what I am going to do suspension / lift wise to get these things to fit under full articulation. Only downside to this setup is weight. I think this is my favorite tire / wheel combo I have seen on a 100.

Cost roughly $750.00 for all 10 pieces. Got the hookup from
Nice! Was your carpet that thrashed that you need new? What year? Where are you getting carpet and speaker grilles?

The truck is a late '06 model and the carpet would probably do great with a deep clean. I just don't want to mess with it and figured I'd go new from Toyota. The speaker grills are in excellent condition and just have some light fuzz (no stains). If anyone wants these and my existing seat backs (in good condition - right has no sag, left has no sag but the elastic is just slightly loose), PM me. I also have all exterior side trim pieces too which are slightly faded (not bad) with just a few dings (but again not bad).

opened up driver door lock actuator and swapped motor as lock/unlock had stopped working but unfortunately I should have probably done some testing prior to assuming the motor was the culprit as it still does not work and the motor I took out tested fine when I bench tested it afterwords.:(. I guess its time to start tracking wires. :bang:

Do the hutchinsons mount up to the cruisers. I really like these wheels but didn't think they fit.

That's called unintended preemptive maintenance :)

Seriously though, I'm surprised that didn't so it, all signs point to those being the culprit 9 times out of 10. Best of luck tracking down the problem.
