I think the black looks way better with your red truck.

digging the black! silver looked good. silver kinda acted like a highlighter and really made it stand out. black will tone it down and make it blend in better. you will probably catch less hell for it with it being black, not as noticeable, you know. Looks good either way. oohh have you thought about color matching it to the body?!

IMO I like the black way better Seriously steps it up notch on an already sweet exo. Dont get me wrong the silver looked good, but that black creates a whole new look!

Yeah that's what I noticed right away, that it toned it down alot! The black also made my 80 look dirtier! Oh well!

I have thought about color matching and I'm just not sure I would like that...

x2! I was sitting here whata PITA that must be..... that said it looks great, so whatever method your using (at least from the pics) is working well

EDIT: When i first saw your exo I thought about the color matching or slight hue change or something really off the wall. If not black maybe more of a red like your 80's color but darker, more blood red or something. Im sure chics have some fancy name for it like cherry red... who knows. Fun to think about.

I know!...I can't believe how sweet it looks now!!! Should'ah dun that in the first place!!

I WAS thinking that I would paint the body orange but that black really makes the dark red look really rich! IMO the pic doesn't do it justice, you guys gotta come to CM09 and see it person!

How hard was it to paint?

It's not that it is hard as much as it was time consuming and frustrating!! Didn't help at all that this week we had
"hurricane Katrina" winds blowing through here (or so it seemed!)!

I used high gloss black spray paint (18 cans) and it took about 20hrs to do it!

This summer I'm going to try out the 8" coils and a few other mods, but there's already clearance for days.

Off Road & Camping Expo 09

We went to the first annual Off Road & Camping Expo this past week end at the Bass Pro Shops! It was hosted be the local Land Rover club.

Sin City Wicked FJ's were there!

And since I had the only cruiser from our club "Southern Nevada Land Cruisers" they just put me with them!

Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers club was there...they the best food!

This 96 Discovery was supposed to be raffled off but they could only sell like 12 tickets at $50 bucks each...they said that wasn't enough.... lets see 12x$50=$600 ....That's like $500 more than it's worth...I don't understand what the problem was???
