Photobucket must be having some issue's!
I finally got to do the "Potato Ridge" trail today (a.k.a. Rocky Gap)!
We had 5 rigs in our group, my 80 and 4 j**p's.
There were some great rock gardens there!!
The trip was a blast!
Jim from CA was there in his TJ....here's what he had to say about the trail ride today.
"I have to admit, I came to Vegas to visit Brian and never imagined we would have so much fun on a trail ride today.
Lets see, What started out as a three hour tour actually inducted us into the Puckoughway tribe, gave us a nascar experience, and had fun playing in the rocks. Not to mention some of the best scenery in southern Nevada.
We went into the wilds following a white doored jeep, no names to be mentioned, and were told we were in good hands, Following a trail we named pin stripe paint and body we soon realized we were kinda lost, well not really, when we crossed our own tracks we knew where we were. well all was not lost, following the same leadership we soon found our way to a dump site. We elected a new leader who meandered around till we found our trail, 2 hours later. So, we found our trail, man it was fun, following the wash we had a ball running a knarly rock strewned trail with line options galore.Everyone was trying to decide the best line and we all made fun of each other for our choices, best bet was the one the guy behind you took. It was a very fun day on the trail. Lunch on the crest and a very scenic ride out was a cap to the day. I want to admit we made a few friends with other 4x4ers on the trail and maybe introdced a few guys to Vegas Valley 4 wheelers. All in all a blast just traveling Just Good Trails.
I want to thanks Andy, Brian, George, Hal, and Roy for taking me on a great trail in the Vegas area and showing me a great time while enjoying the area known as Potato Ridge.
thanks Guys"
