Had to order two new tail lights and will be doing a little body work on the rear quarter. The trails are tight on the east coast!

They do not. 3F-E plate has long been discontinued.

Those bastages! Makes sense though. The 3FE isn't as flashy as the 1FZ-FE. She's more utilitarian. Like the super hot chick's friend. She has to work a little harder, likes to get dirty, and makes a lot of noise.

This last weekend I took care of a lot of what I consider little issues. Installed new front door speakers because mine were missing, did a temporary fix for the hot drivers feet issue, hopefully fixed the dirty cruise control connector so it will work every time, made a new drivers door vapor barrier, reattached the loose storage area on the passenger front door and tightened all the loose screws in that door panel, installed the buckles and latches for my center row seats so it is now usable, replaced some missing bolts for the front metal facia by the marker lights and while I was in there I did the turn signal mod so both front lights turn on with the turn signal. This next weekend I hope to be installing some front spring spacers to level out the ride height and will be removing the 3rd row seats now that the middle row is usable.

And barely moves!

Nah, the super hot chick is the one that just sits there, the garage queen. The super hot chick's friend has to work harder for the attention! Stick with the analogy!

Wasn't the weekend but I took my 80 to go look at a FJ40 that is for sale about a half hour away for a Mud member that lives in Texas. Stopped off and did a little fishing with my son. Not a lot of fish caught but it was better than sitting at home watching tv. And the 40 was decent. Makes me really want to buy another one. I don't know why I keep getting rid of them... :bang:

Edit: forgot "F&%$ Texas!"

PLEASE use jack stands, block, stack a a couple wheels, a tree stump, ANYTHING to place under that truck in the event the jack fails or slips!

Thanks for the concern.
There is actually a bottle Jack next to the crocodile jack but not depicted on the picture. All of our stands (8) were
being used at the time and I even had to work under the sun and on the dirt because we didn't have space.

Typical "false choice logic error". Lots of hot chicks work hard, like to get dirty and make lots of noise.

Sorry, I had a friend die because the jack he was using gave out and the car fell on his chest. He couldn't scream to let anyone know. His wife found him about two hours after it happened. He was normally very safety conscious and used stands. He didn't this time because another car was using them.

(Edit: This was in response to @pilotuku pic and post from earlier)

I wasn't driving it at the time. A friend was. There is a small flake of chrome that came off from the trailer ball nut. Friend said it felt like he just got pushed not hit. It was an Infiniti

I'm not trying to play doctor with your friend but wanted to pass on a caution about him announcing that he is all fine etc. I was at a redlight once and got hit by a 280Z me in a 76 Pontiac land yacht and even though it did no damage to my car it destroyed the front clip of the Z. I felt perfectly fine too. The next day I couldn't turn my head left or right and it was a couple of weeks before I was back to normal.

LSS when hit in the rear you're not ok until the next morning proves it.

Did oil and filter change, changed out transfer case oil and since I had my kid around to help decided to address vibration issue. Put 80 on jackstands and checked driveline (everything in neutral) found u-joint on front double cardan drive shaft wasted. Removed front shaft and H yoke damaged. Started to press out Jo its and said screw it, took shaft to J. E. Reel to get fixed right. All new u-joint and H yoke, balanced and blueprinted. Also had him hook me up with spare front and rear shafts. Spend but worth it in my opinion. Been driving with cdl in 2wd and now thinking about doing part time and maybe 3:1 gears in transfer case!!

Our daugther visited us for a short vacation in Patagonia. I let her do some light "dune bashing" and we went (illegally) swimming with whales. Petted it!

Picked up a set of military OZ's x 5 (0 miles) and a set of 24 bolt wheels (still in box) from a guy this week. In return, I helped him clean up his shop of things he didn't need, and a donation of an Rockwell belt sander. I know there are mixed opinions of these tires, but for a total cost of $0, I'm not gonna complaint. Have the recenters coming up from TWF. A local offroad fabrication shop, GreenTree Fabrications, is going to do the welding. They set me up with a DC front shaft for around $350, and all their vehicles are either Toyota trucks, older 4runners, and land cruisers. So I trust their work.

That's ONE! One! More proof required...

That's actually two. One is 6' and the other is 5'.

I kid you not, I once had the 2011 Mrs. Pennsylvania help me change a tire on my Series 76 wagon in a 6" deep pool of sewage at midnight in one of Kabul's bad neighborhoods. She was absolutely fearless and strong.

Plus she dresses up well, just a bit.

I need to do a "Girls of the Landcruiser" calendar of all the beautiful, talented and smart young ladies I've toted around this or that Third World craphole, and always in one series landcruiser or another.
