Started cleaning it and got the good pics off the camera. 2100 miles through the mountains and averaged 11.42 mpg fully loaded!
I'm going to replace the spark plugs and hopefully replace one broken rear wheel stud later today.
finished installing the helton hot water system with a shower.
How do you like that bike rack? Does it just fit mountain bikes? Been looking at the 6 bike version.

I've been to the top of Mt Washington quite a few times.....in January. Much different trip that time of year.

Seriously the most amazing rack ever. I don't know how any other option could come close to offering the versatility this one offers.
I hang trashbags and cooking utensils on it when cooking on he tailgate.
I can fold it down and back up at camp with 4 bikes on it by myself, and they don't touch the ground or rub. Last year we all had to wait turns to take three bikes off every time we camped or needed to get in the hatch. This year we put our two bikes on opposite ends from each other and we unloaded them at the same time.
I also realized on this trip when I had to do some bike repairs that I could fold it down and wedge a seat in the top area and it was a pretty stout bike stand.
I only had two bikes on this trip, but usually I'm hauling 3 or 4. Last year I had 3 on a Thule cradle rack and they got really banged up despite our best efforts. This year, no damage to the bikes whatsoever. There were points too where I would have dragged the bikes if they had been on a platform or cradle style rack. The rack is also extremely fool proof and durable. No rubber/plastic clamps that break or fatigue.
I could go on and on about how much I love this rack.
It was close, but I don't think any other bike rack would have cleared the drop into this river other than maybe the expensive one made in Australia.
I don't road bike, but I have hauled a fixie short distance with it holding around the stem and bars. A little sketch, and it could possibly put some weird forces and break the top tube on a carbon road frame or something similar.

Over the past few weekends I took care of some items as I could find a spare 30 mins or so. I am driving my 80 out to CruiserFest from Atlanta in three weeks and had a few things on my punch list. When I discovered that a small line of coolant on top,of my radiator, my list got much longer :/
All OEM parts were supplied with a smile by beno
Here is the completed list:
Installed 30mm Iron Man spacers in the rear to level it out (Thanks ACC!)
Installed new rear OME L shocks (thanks Kurt and Cruiser Outfitters team).
Installed custom 2" rear sway bar drop blocks that have been in my garage for 8 years (thanks Slomo)!
New Koyo aluminum radiator was the immediate need. The "while you are in there with the radiator out" list went like this:
-Oil pump seal (leaking pretty good here so I am happy to have this done). Seven screws were easy to get out and I could have reused all of them...I didn't though, I replaced with Allen screws. This job is a breeze with the radiator out and I highly recommend doing it,if you find yourself replacing a radiator and this gasket hasn't already been replaced.
-from crank seal. Very easy, used the breaker bar against the frame rail trick to loosen. 2" pvc coupler to install and borrowed a 300ft/lb torque wrench.
-replaced AC pulley bearing. Super easy with sockets and a hammer.
-drained oil from my 8 year old blue fan clutch and replaced with 30k CST. This was a pain in the arse since my o-ring got stretched and I had to source a new o-ring (ACC Toyota in Atlanta bailed me out with a junked clutch that I was able to split and get the o-ring). The result is a fan that can seriously move some air (thanks Land Tank and Tools R Us)
-replaced fan shroud since old one had a broken tab.
I think this is it for now. The only items left on the punch list are the new winch solenoid and two new gears/caps from Gamiviti.
I am looking forward to getting it out to the desert!

Went dirt-roading with my kids and @vapilotda and his fam. Checked out some USFS roads, hiked in to a cool overlook, and hit Parkway Brewing on the way back into town.

How did you adjust? Mine is a bit loose.Just got done putting a full exhaust in my 80. Those y pipes are a biotch to get in there. Also fixed the rear hatch latch, the rear hatch would not close all the way, and was keeping the lights on... adjusted the latch so the door would latch, and disconnected the wire to the sensor... no more dead battery for me
Next I'm replacing the absolutely terrible stock stereo, and figuring out the a/c issue.
