yes, back when I lived in Omaha full-time and before we had cruisers, we once took ChaseTruck's Blazer there - it was there where I really started to hate mud

And while we were on the way to buy some diff fluid, we went to a route that we don't normally drive through, we saw an 80 on a ranch that always owned Fords and Chevy trucks, only to find out he was selling it for $1500 with 180k mi on it. It had a cracked cylinder (according to PO), he said he flushed the coolant system 3years ago and he had been battling overheating since and actually overheated to red arc once. Motor seized since then and never ran.

So we paid $1k for it with a spare motor and tranny he bought on planning to swap but got busy fixing his Ford instead... The spare motor and tranny came from a truck that was rear ended by a semi and had 140k mi. All of these were sitting on his front yard for 2 years and if we didn't take this route we would've never seen it.

I'm a firm believer that every 80 I see needs to have an offer thrown at it. I'm 2 for 2 in the last 5 weeks. I need worse luck or a second job...

I'm a firm believer that every 80 I see needs to have an offer thrown at it. I'm 2 for 2 in the last 5 weeks. I need worse luck or a second job...

not that we have any use for another one, but as rare as these things are here in the south, I am kinda tempted to approach them . . .

Got the new front bumper mounted, synthetic winch rope installed and wired up the fog lights included with the DC FAB bumper. Also hacked up the pieces of exhaust removed from the rear bumper install and was able to reincorporate and tuck the resonator up out of harms way. Then threw a turn down on it that sits flush with rear bumper just in front of it. I was in a rush to get to an appointment this afternoon so this is only pic I got. I'll take a few after I clean it up. But must note, many have said to just toss the Resonator as it doesn't make a big difference... I disagree. I run catless and with a simple heavy duty offroad muffler, the resonator really keeps the tone manageable. Without it there was serious drone issues at highway speed. Also aired the new meats to 25 psi to help with the rough ride of the E Load Destinations. It helped a lot and feels like the old MTR's did at about 30-32 psi.

past couple of weeks efforts, changed coils for flexys, so same free length, but dropped 50mm in height, finally built drawers, swapped drag link for heavy cromo one, swapped power steer pump to hopefully fix intermittent issue, went for a drive and had to test the new coils on the way back

Worked it

Started a boulder wall at a clients but three of the base course stones were more than the mini excavator could handle Triple locked drag effort then creative winching to get them into place. Everyone stopped working to watch that one

HF winch passed the first test but they were only ~1500 lbs or so

A small group of us did 480-dirt miles through-in-around Death Valley! It's been a while since I've gotten the ADV80 out on a non-work related outting!

And afterwards I finally got to install a new exhaust after the stock one decided he was finished after 251,000-miles! So I got this Magnaflow muffler installed!

The funny thing is, I'm somewhat of a hippie tree hugger. I also own a Camry Hybrid. Recycle storm water run off at my house. Installing solar this summer. Recycle everything. Trying to offset the carbon footprint! Which is part of why I keep my Land Cruiser. Reduce, recycle, REUSE!!!
