What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (48 Viewers)

Installed OME "stock height" 861/862 springs. Using almost-new Tokico FZJ80 shocks. What a difference - ride and handling now are like night and day. No more wallowy ride. The new shocks helped a lot when I put them in, but the springs, wow. SO MUCH BETTER. This is on stock 275 70 16s. Considering 285s but this is good for now.

Got the tree, but more importantly got the right 240V plug for my new TIG welder...

The obligatory tree picture of course.....

Why the angle on the top? Bumper looks real nice but the angle makes it look a bit strange IMO. Quality looking work though.

Just something my customer wanted based off an old bumper he use to have. I guess a straight 90 down brake is old and boring.... Different strokes for different folks.

Bumper looks sharp to me. Covers up the spots that need to be covered up without looking massive.

I went and Played after installing my Light bar and 12k Warn winch. Went up some slightly snowy and lose rock 50+ degree inclines fully locked with no drama what-so-ever, felt like a bad ass.

Put these in

And cut and patched this

I don't know who's shoe that it...

Waiting hoping to pick up tcase and h55 from torfab this week so I can start looking at making a crossmember.

Also did some layout for my new rack for the 80. Corner bends are done, now just need to trim, fit and TIG all the rest of the joints!! (Mid crosswise bar will be sections cut and fit between each lengthwise bar) Wonder if I can finish that on one bottle of argon...

48" wide, full length - opening at the front is for the sun roof. 55-ish feet of 1" round corner 6061 aluminum box tube. About 112" of weld to go!

I drove 850 miles to deliver @mryanangel tricked out roof rack and tread plates for his hood. I also threw in some hooks for his cargo rails we installed. Check out my Safari style roof rack thread in the vendors armor section for all the details. Ohio to New Jersey about 7.5 HRS each way, piece of cake. We got it all laid out for him and then we got back down the road. The Cruiser did great and provided a comfy ride... was a long day. We started at 6:30am and got home at 12:30am the next day. How far would we go for our customers? Well we know its at least 850 miles...

Drove 900 roundtrip to see a friend in White Plains, NY. Once I got home, I gave it a nice warm bath to get all the salt off. Noticed quite a few cruisers from around New Haven, CT all the way up past Boston, had a miniature convoy of 3 of them for a good 30 minutes.

Noticed that I'm leaking somewhere in rear, drivers side carpet is soaked.
