Wicked Pissah Cruisah Haulah a NLC.
Packed it full of junk hooked up the trailer and gassed it up for a 2 week road trip with some time on the Trans Labrador Highway, Labrador,Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

First ever axle rebuild. Think I am getting it right... snapped a head off of a bolt on the wiper set, and have mangled two oil seals on the hub. Going to buy another from dealer. All in all a great weekend behind and ahead.
Went to my hunting place and installed a trail camera.

Mess fest.
Kids went to a "mess fest" and played in a giant mud hole. They didn't want the 80 to feel left out.

A friend picked up an 80 off of Craigslist, and we spent some time doing maintenance.

That looks awesome! I hope to be up in the Pintlers next summer along with some time along the Big Hole. I love that area.
Installed ProComp ES9000's for an interim shock solution since I blew one out last weekend. Hands down the worst shocks for an 80 series. Ever!
Installed new OEM air filter and got second Key Fob programmed. Apparently my FZJ80 came through Gulf Coast Toyota so the local Seattle dealer had no parts or help.

Got a set of Duratrac's.
Drained my Eaton fan clutch and filled it with 10k oil
Drove to San Diego to get my bumper installed.
Installed an Aussie Locker in the rear, that was a pain in the butt, I was hoping to be able to use the stock thrust washers but they were too thick. Thankfully Specter Off-road is nearby and had every size but the thickest in stock.
Took my little buddy for a ride (you can see him looking for lizards out the rear door in the first pic. He didn't see any)
The next day I went exploring the hills behind my house. Took a 40 mile trip through the mountains on some nice trails. I just discovered the the Pacific Crest Trail runs right by my house. It's a hiking trail that runs from the Mexican border all the way to the Canadian border.

Installed Xfer case/trans and front diff breather extensions with stone filters. Also picked up a Kobalt Stainless steel 3 drawer tool chest floor model for $80, works good except for the lock but the rig is always locked anyway
Finally replaced the rear passenger side, lower shock mount bushing. The old one was completely missing. Also, replaced the front sway bar bushings. Had the local muffler shop reattach my exhaust hangars as they were all broken. Found out that my CAT is bad and needs replaced, as well. Have a replacement CAT and a buddy willing to weld it on for me. Just need to find the time.
