Hi. Love the quad lights. Also love those spare tire swing-out holders! Any idea where I could get one for my ‘94?
I was thinking the same thing. I did mine 10 years ago and it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked.I would bet as you cut those zip ties and start pulling out the mess, you'll find maybe 5 or 6 wires that need to be repaired. They always look worse than they really are.
Steaming hot mess!Pulled the driver's seat, rolled the carpet up and removed the lower dash to pull the alarm.
Here's the Toyota part... and the chitshow that I've got to deal with...
It's either laugh it off and start planning, or roll the rig into my neighbor's pond.
Inline fuses, crimp connectors... what a mess.
Looks about normal...every alarm fitted LC I've seen was similar. The installers currently reside in the 9th circle, or should.Mechanically have my wife's 80 sorted. It was a basket case triple locked '94... rusty and an absolute mess. Bought "new" panels from a member here on Mud and redid the body too (Monstalined trail rig now). Runs great. BUT, getting the intermittent no crank issue (already replace the fusible link)... and the starter is fine. Seems that the dang alarm/immobilizer is the likely culprit.

reassembling the engine. Can't seem to find the 2 mounting bolts for the front of the head. I have all new head bolts, but the two in the front I must have misplaced. Does anyone know what size they are, or where I can get a replacement? View attachment 3834480
Thanks for the encouragement. Yep, that's the plan. Carefully snipping the zip ties, then going through the loom(s). We're going wheeling in a couple of weeks down in Eastern, Kentucky, so I've got a timeline to work with... and hopefully, I'll be able to get the old girl buttoned back up (and the alarm deleted) before departure.I would bet as you cut those zip ties and start pulling out the mess, you'll find maybe 5 or 6 wires that need to be repaired. Fingers crossed, once I get in there fully, that's my experience is the same as yours...fingers crossed!I was thinking the same thing. I did mine 10 years ago and it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked.
Any plans to make these for the OEM sized sway bars?Helped Simon grease a drive shaft.
Then installed these bad boys, 5 min installs are the best.

most excellent workNew alternator and adj hardware as mine was not charging anymore. I’ve never touched this one and the label said Toyota Denso built 04. Don’t know if that is the year made? I bought the truck in 2012. Also chucked in a new battery at the same time (removing battery and tray made alternator swap easier) as I noticed it was 5 years old. I swear I just bought it. Funny how that happens. Didn’t do belts because I did them a year ago. When with AGM 24f Interstate from Costco. $179
Anyway in an effort give back to the forum here are some charts and part numbers for the next person. View attachment 3835047View attachment 3835048View attachment 3835049View attachment 3835050
