Installed a usb volume knob! Total game changer for any touchscreen owners out there.

I'm shopping head units right now, haven't seen that brand. You recommend it?

It’s an atoto s8, $225 on amazon. I watched a few reviews online before I decided to purchase. Super easy install, crystal clear screen, tons of features that I won’t use. New Rear camera installed no problem too. Android auto so I’m planning on installing my obd1 reader from toyocom soon. Only negatives so far were it’s a bit laggy when you changing songs and of course no physical volume knob which has now been addressed.

That reminds me... are there any cons to a real beadlock wheel?
Ya there a pain in the a** and tire shops won't touch them !

They get assembled once, or at every tire change, or what?

Why would a tire shop not touch them?
Google is your friend 😜

I took one of the beadlock wheels off my Kawasaki KRX to Les Schwab here in Denver and they would not work on it. As soon as I told them it was for an UTV and not a roadgoing vehicle, they installed the tire. They said they don't work on beadlock wheels at any of their stores because of "liability." Strange, huh?

I had a buddy at a tire shop that would help me out but since he moved, I take mine to a small offroad shop. Big chains say it's a liability thing, corporate policy. Plus they can't break the bead and reposition the tire to get a better balance.

Sometimes they're heavy, like 40+ lbs. And you're supposed to check torque on the ring bolts regularly. Oh and they're expensive.

As mentioned above, you're responsible for install/assembly etc. unless you have a shop that can do it for you. Takes me a couple hours per tire to assemble. Disassembly can be annoying. It's especially annoying to get a screw in your tire since you can't just run down to Discount.

But having said that, I've never really had issues with balancing or bolts backing out. I also found a set of beadlocks that's pretty lightweight so it feels relatively stock in that respect. And in my opinion, good tunable shocks + bumpstops + beadlocks @5-8 psi on the trail is a life changing experience haha

Every tire change
Because they're a pain in the ass. Hard to balance and not dot legal.

There's nothing like the tough jobs that leave you weary and bloodied. I'll write up the parts list, process, and tools to help out the next poor sucker who tries this one.
Not having the gasket between the two consoles would drive me crazy. Not sure if you can buy it though.

I've only seen one 80 that had one (mine).

I started looking for them 20 years ago, when I bought my 80: both are long gone.
