There's nothing like the tough jobs that leave you weary and bloodied. I'll write up the parts list, process, and tools to help out the next poor sucker who tries this one.

Not having the gasket between the two consoles would drive me crazy. Not sure if you can buy it though.
Well, all buttoned back up and installed but the engine whine is still there. The power steering pump gear looked a little nicked in a couple of places but I know that almost always causes a "tick" and not a "whine." I'm going to remove the pump from the block and run the engine a bit. If it disappears, I'll order up a new pump gear. If it doesn't, I'll likely start a separate post about the whine. Truck runs and shifts great like any 80 I've ever driven. Just a little whiny! I'm not sure what else could be causing it. As stated previously, whine is still there with the belts removed so I figured it was power steering related since the PS pump runs off the crank and the flow in my reservoir was not correct (truck steered well though). Taking the belts off eliminates AC compressor, water pump, idler pulley and alternator. I was really hoping it was one of those.
I just replaced the pump with OEM. It's the gear I pulled off the old pump making the racket.I'd replace the pump.
No worries! It's hard to keep up with all the posts.Oh, I see. Sorry.
Used some metal glue and put on some tabs to mount lights. Now I can night wheel!!!

been using that jack since it came out. Kind of invaluable for lifted trucks imoHa. Metal glue. Hey, how do you like the Badlands "off-road" jack sitting there? I've been kicking one around.
There are some good ones that clip to the steering wheel that also do voice command and track skipping. Turns your steering wheel into a modern one! that sounds
