Thank you @NeverFinis . I appreciate the picture. Got it buttoned up and cruised it around. No weird noisesThat is how mine was installed, and I doubt it was changed.

Love the lines on this. Is there a backstory to this or is it a new TT product?Finished the changes to the "CRUISIN" rear bumper and sent the files to the laser cutter for production.
Starting on the front tomorrow.

If only there was a person with a center console, calipers and a 3d Printer..I've only seen one 80 that had one (mine).

I started looking for them 20 years ago, when I bought my 80: both are long gone.

ThisNo crank or no start?
Power to dash, fuel pump engages, single click from starter solenoid every time, no crank, no start. Crank does turn over by hand.No crank or no start?

Appreciate the guidance, will troubleshoot tomorrow! That starter is a real fun one to put in so I’m done for the day. Thanks @cruiserdan.Check the grounds to the engine block and body. If you have a poor ground the battery can't supply sufficient amperage to power the starter.
I joined the PHH club.
There was no way I could get my hand down to start the bolt on the bottom bracket, so I made the tool on the bottom left from a plastic milk carton, with a hole keep the screw captive and a partial slit so I could pull it out once the bolt was started. It worked well.
I'll also plug a new favorite tool, the Tekton 12 and 14mm long flex head ratcheting wrench. I got it for the bottom bracket bolt but it's already come in very handy, with good access and Toyota friendly sizes.

Yeah, definitely check the ground but I've learned that just because you put a "new" starter in doesn't mean that it will actually work. I had VW Vanagon Syncro that needed a starter (super pain in the ass to install) so I went to the dealer and to get one, installed, and it wouldn't work. I went back to the dealer to get a new one and installed, again it didn't work. I racked my brain to thinking of all the other things that it could be when actually it was 2 bad starters.Appreciate the guidance, will troubleshoot tomorrow! Yep we get that a lot with alternators as well. One that even charged fine for 45 mins then thbpppt, nothing.Yeah, definitely check the ground but I've learned that just because you put a "new" starter in doesn't mean that it will actually work. The one in the AutoZone down the road from me super cheap ($0) and works brilliantly. YMMVCan anyone recommend a cheap but proven cooling system pressure test kit? It's hard to tell which ones are compatible with the older Toyotas.
