Just replaced my DS seatbelt. The belt was still in good shape but every now and then it wouldn't pull out and I'd have to inch it out and it would take a while to get enough to buckle it. I'm at about 375K miles so old belt did its job. Going to go drive around and test it out!
I had a GFC platform for my Tacoma and when we sold it I picked up a Superlight for the 80. Was gonna go with the normal tent but I wanted a rack for when it’s removed.
I like GFC a lot but their pricing has gotten really high.
We paid $6000 and they sell for like $10k plus now.

Driving the 80 yesterday there was a very light fluttery sensation in the steering, but only at a certain point in steering right to left, or left to right. I checked wheel bearings this morning, both fine, but while under the Cruiser noticed that the upper panhard bolt had backed out. The nut was loose. I replaced all suspension bushings last year and marked heads with torque check. The loose bolt head was obvious. I had torqued this bolt to the correct setting, I think. Went back in and hit it with the impact this time and remarked it with paint. Passenger side bolt was still tight.
Some of you might recall I was having an intermittent starting issue. Yes there was a draw on the system while using the "OFF" up/down feature for the windows. The other day I went out to go to work and the LC would not crank over. Had enough voltage to keep the radio presets and the clock up to date. I tried using the house battery via the Blue Sea ML-ACR with no luck, I also used my NOCO jump box. After letting it sit for 15-20 minutes with the jump box and house battery it cranked over.
Get to work and test the starting battery, 11.9 V and a whooping 34 CCA. Swapped out that battery and now I am good to go.

Test drove a 2014 LX570...something was wrong with the AHC so it wasn't very impressive. A couple weeks ago I test drove a 2006 LX470 and I liked that one better. Came back home and hooked up the battery in my (kind of mine....you know the story ) 80 and it started right up. Like an old, well-fitting shoe, it was so comfortable to be inside.
I decided I wanted a dedicated truck gun and have been eyeing the Henry Homesteader since it seemed like a nice PCC that also has a little more character than a 9mm AR variant. It’s a modern tool with a throw-back legacy. Kinda like my 80!
Cleaned up the tailgate storage and cut some foam to hold the rifle and 2 mags. Ordered a Zeus Air battery pack/compressor from Uncharted and have room to cut a spot for it too.
