Great that’s what I was thinking just get the 8” stuff and beat into submission.Kinda, it's custom in that it mostly fits but you need to grind and cut a bit to make it fit decent.
In order for it to work effectively the load needs spread evenly, if you just burn it in, the force from an impact will just go right into the welds.

Looking for some help. Had some new front swaybar brackets made and I am currently installing the swaybar. This is on a RHD 1990 hdj81. The way I have it on is the way it came off but brackets were broken and it was half hanging so one wonders if this was on correctly. The other picture is from the FSM and it looks opposite. Truck is new to me so I don't even know if this is the factory swaybar, it does have the slee bracket extensions. Can anyone confirm which way is correct?
IMO that's not the correct sway bar.
I agree the profile looks different altogether than FSM. I think the way it is currently installed makes the most sense to clear the driveshaft though.
Appears to be aftermarket, but I agree, that orientation seems to be correct.
Again IMO the front sawyer bar is not as important as the rear as the front control arms act as sway bar. Many my self included run without the front.
You might try removing it and see how you like it.
Thank you and Heckraiser for helping. My truck is pretty heavy and although it feels great on road without the swaybar, I think these slinkies and icons are too light for good onroad performance. It sways a lot when turning onroad.
The bent driver side mount and the swaybar not being parallel to the tie rod is alarm to me. I would try to find a OEM one or one that fits correctly.

Did more research and I think you are exactly correct. Interestingly reading past posts it sounds like a lot of users have issues getting it to be centered, often being closer to one radius arm or the other. Mine is a bit better that way after some road testing. Now I'm worried about failure of the front axle sway bar tabs and considering purchasing these land tank heavy duty ones.

I had the Whiteline, and I broke the tab on the DS. I installed Land Tank tabs and downgraded back to a factory bar, plus the LT disconnect kit. I assume my supercharged gas engine doesn't weigh as much as your diesel, but I'm very pleased with the setup. I wrote a review thread on the tabs and detailed the install, if you're interested.

@FloridaCruiser22, do you think the Fuyao glass is substandard and chipped when it shouldn't have? I've heard and read about some Fuyao glass being wavy/distorted.
Around Jan 2023, I was looking for a new windshield because I was prepping to get my cruiser painted and all glass was being removed for it. I spoke to 6 different companies local to me in NE TN and everyone's consensus was that TriVal glass was lower-quality. Additionally, both are manufactured in China, if that matters. I don't have any evidence or data; these are the opinions of the installers near me and maybe it matters.
I'm now really looking for glass...I don't think there are many other options except glass made in China.
Ditch it all together and see how it feels and if you like it. I don’t run a front sway bar like the others.
I've ran with front sway bars disconnected by accident for 5 months. Cruising at 75mph coming home from death valley-500 miles. Didn't notice any body rolls. Only way i found out I had no sway bar was when I tried to disconnect it at a rock garden 5 months later.

I ran without for a short while. I didn't like it, but I got used to it. IMO, the difference is night and day on the highway.

Let us know next time so We can contribute in some way!This weekend I did tires. New Falken M/Ts, 285/75/16. The old ones were the same tires, but the tread was getting quite low and no more traction in the clay we have here. On the same trip I filled up the 80 with 4,000 spiral notebooks.
I have a 4x4 club here in Honduras, we use OffRoad trips to raise funds to support education in really remote areas where lot of kids don’t finish 6th grade due to a lack of school supplies. We are supporting 1500 students in 20 communities this year, where we will have weekend trips into 4-6 communities, distribute the backpacks and camp in the communities. It’s a lot of fun and makes a big difference in these kids lives.
Also it gives me an excuse to buy new tires

The time the Fuyao chipped was understandable because it was from a rock hitting it, albeit only going like 30 mph and it getting hit down low by the wiper blade. This time there was no rock/debris that hit it and the crack appears to be completely internal. Isn't very promising...but it'll probably be will replaced with the same thing

Starting my power steering system overhaul. I got the PS gear moved to my new pump and reattached it to the block. Took a measurement and got the gear within about .02mm of the old. It actually went on most of the way without any more tapping down. Waiting on low pressure hoses and I'll button it up. Reservoir screen was pretty gunky which may have been causing my whine but I like the idea of an OEM pump on it vs the reman unit it came with.
