This weekend I did tires. New Falken M/Ts, 285/75/16. The old ones were the same tires, but the tread was getting quite low and no more traction in the clay we have here. On the same trip I filled up the 80 with 4,000 spiral notebooks.

I have a 4x4 club here in Honduras, we use OffRoad trips to raise funds to support education in really remote areas where lot of kids don’t finish 6th grade due to a lack of school supplies. We are supporting 1500 students in 20 communities this year, where we will have weekend trips into 4-6 communities, distribute the backpacks and camp in the communities. It’s a lot of fun and makes a big difference in these kids lives.

Also it gives me an excuse to buy new tires

Cried a little? The arrow is pointing to an impact by fast flying debris. The impact was so violent, it double-cracked.

Good thing it’s directly in my field of view. It’s time for a new windscreen anyway. Despite my disdain for supporting the Chinese economy, Fuyao is probably my choice if I can find it nearby.

This dog is an 8lb mix of three tiny breeds. She loves the cruiser and riding shotty. You can see her tiny little head and her disproportionate body due to my neglecting to trim her.
She was born into this tiny body, but her mind is that of an alpha-male wolf. She chases male and female cats only to mount them and have her way with them as if she was a he. Gotta get a picture of it. Literally hits it from the back. She’s brutal.

I'm on my 2nd Fuyao about to be my 3rd in the past 2/3 years. OEM windshield got chipped back in 2022, replaced with a Fuyao. Fuyao got chipped in 2023, installer had to come out 2x to seal it for not following the directions I gave him the first time. Now somehow this windshield developed an internal crack going from the bottom to top right in driver view without any chips. Ridiculous.

We received a little snow and single digit temps here in middle Tennessee so there’s salt everywhere! My windshield washer pump decided to die so I had to grab one of the used ones I had in the stash. I have a leak in the rear wiper tubing and haven’t hunted it down yet So I bypassed the rear diverter valve. Now I can see again when driving. Yay.

Nice work! It's amazing what a difference a little extra effort can make in so many lives...and you get to have fun doing it!

FWIW, I was able to lock all 3 diffs.
I bought my Lx450 without inception, and verifying if lockers worked. Found a mud patch by a friend's house, and went for it.

They are OEM. That I couldn’t tell you because mine came stick with a rear tire carrier, where the us model spare goes mine has an oem aux fuel tank.

Having recently done this I found the Motofarkles does not fit all 9.5s. With a 94 a lot of massaging and cutting was needed to make it fit. YMMV

I just talked to a local glass company and they said they can order a Trival windshield for only $24 more than a Fuyao. They said Trival is a sub of Pilkington. 10 days to get a Trival vs 2 days for a Fuyao.

I'm finishing up my two other jeep builds so starting to really focus on the 80 this year. Going to overhaul the exhaust, suspension, links, modify the ARB bumper and other misc items like the door cards, quarter windows.

Kinda, it's custom in that it mostly fits but you need to grind and cut a bit to make it fit decent.

In order for it to work effectively the load needs spread evenly, if you just burn it in, the force from an impact will just go right into the welds.
