Fancified my wife’s seat. Cabela’s low back bucket seat cover. Was a pain to get buckled and cinched down tight, but it’s way better than the flaking crusty exposed foam seat. And it’s only $20ish.

Put in some Rosen visors and rewrapped the steering wheel with the loncky tan kit. Picked up a set of escape seat covers for the lx450 when equipt1.com had there spring open house. Seat covers fit great. Now just debating on what sliders to get slee or metal tech or 4plus products.

Cool guages! Are you not considering Slee sliders at all?

Just debating on the options. I think I will go slee but I really like the 4plus products set too, I just wish they were bolt on vs weld on.

I've had those Trailgear seat covers in mine for a long time and they hold up great!! I even put some seat heater elements under them and it's been awesome. Probably the best value there is for seat covers.

Starting organizing my part hoard. Impex delivery came today. Got a 105 shaft steering box for $1074. 150kg total of parts shipped for ~$300. Pretty wild that I spent about half compared to even amayama or partsouq. Was in the USA in 2 days but stuck in customs for 9 days until they were provided “bolt shaft diameter” 🤦‍♂️. Overall process of the order started 3/3. For further out planned builds I’m going keep using Impex.
Picked up the engine short block yesterday. Just waiting for the new head.

I stole them off my 2nd gen Tundra. I’ll buy a new set for the tundra next time I’m at Cabela’s. Definitely a great value.

That new 105 box for $1150(?) and another $100 in shipping is really tempting. Between $600 for a standard redhead rebuild, $700 in parts for DIY 105 upgrade...

I lumped it in with everything else for my rebuild (everything but the head and short block, body mounts, all suspension bushings, front and rear axle rebuild parts, cooling hoses, a/c parts, u joints….) so the cost of shipping I had a feeling wouldn’t be too different. That box is $500+ more from anywhere else I saw it.
Only problem with impex is you don’t know the shipping til they have the parts and you’ve paid for them.

Had a noise from the front end, and on checking it out found this.....

So new rotors and pads.

Then found the tapped hole for the top caliper mounting bolt was stripped. M12 x 1.25 - nothing on the shelf so a new thread insert ordered for Saturday delivery, and back into it.

Of course the spindle gets in the way of a tap wrench so multiple 1/4 turns later the hole was tapped, the insert in

The new wheel bearings are packed, rotor on, caliper back where it should be and I'm away again.

I was leaning towards the Slee ( I have Slee rear swing out and short-bus bumpers) but I really didn’t want to weld on brackets, so went with the WKOR sliders and really happy with them. I have 4Plus front and rear bumpers on my 40. All 3 companies make quality products.

Looking for a 105 box as well. Thank you for listing the part number.

This was last weekend but a weekend none the less. Finally got round to replacing the cooling system along with a new Koyorad radiator. Pressurized the system make sure everything was good. Well pissed off.
I had bought the radiator back in Feb '23 but thankfully Koyrad have agreed to a refund. I would have preferred a replacement but they wouldn't do that for some reason. This would have been the 3rd Koyorad unit I have used on different rigs so surprised it was failed right out of the box.
Now i just need to find an OEM radiator at a decent price.

Impex charged you ~$1k usd for a brand new oem steering gear box? If yes steal of the century.

It's just rejecting the green coolant.

I foresee a ratcheting tap handle or tap sockets in your future after making it happen a 1/4 turn at a time.

Was your caliper just being held on by the lower bolt if the top was stripped out? Or did it strip out on the way out?
