Did you choose the victron Orion smart dc-dc charger? I am trying to find the right one for my setup. I want to replace my flooded lead acid secondary battery mounted under my hood fastened down with the delta battery tray with a 100 ah lithium battery. At the moment I have an isolator to separate my starter battery and my secondary.

I've had nothing but great experience with Victron. Worth the $

Pulled out the gauge cluster for the first time, replaced 4 main cluster bulbs with white LEDs, replaced the plastic lens, replaced the D bulb, did the temperature mod with 100 & 150 ohm resistors, then put it all back in with brand new plastic surround.

It’s pretty dang satisfying having it look brand new and everything working properly. The D light is actually kind of distracting, I’ve never seen one work before, haha.

Order a catch can for the vent tube off the black box. You can thank me later!
Thanks for looking out. Already plan on controlling an external pump with a temp switch 🙃.

Should be interesting….or exciting to see if the blackbox (or the tcase) will survive with 3x the stock power level and heavy tires.

Accidently killed the 10+ year old no brand radiator when fixing my crooked motor mounts. New shroud and TYC rad in. Only old part of my cooling system now is the heater core.

Also fixed the rake with 20mm dobinsons coil spacers. Running 850J front/863J rear. Before vs after.

Nothing to worry about… been running my solar controller for 2 years under the hood

Mine has survived 40s, being completely airborne a few times and dropping on a lot of rocks. That said, I also run anemic power through it.

Got a subtank console painted, installed, and wired. And it actually works with no smoke.

Did you fasten the console with all 4 bolts?
In other words - are there 4 nuts even though it didn't come with the console from the factory?

Yes, our 80’s have the spots to fasten all 4 bolts 👍. Good info here

A while back I had wired up a 12v plug to the rear of the 80 so I could plug the fridge in. After a while of driving around with the fridge plugged in, the cigarette style plug would come loose and the fridge would lose power. I cut the cig lighter portion off and wired up an Anderson plug. I kept the 12v plug and put a usb/volt meter in its place. The connection is much better with the Anderson plug now!
