Aslo added the tailgate strut, thanks to @Obrokoff

I ended up finding a cable that is the right length 15in. Dorman 38536 Then put the bolt on a lathe so it can hold the cable and strut.

I made a kit to sell, so you can choose your own adventure.

Definitely ordering a kit!

When do you think they'll be available? Site is listed as backordered.

Did some cleaning. Not perfect, but better.

Recently I found out my VAF was out of spec, @swamp-thing answered the call and had a known good one.

It arrived today and installed the VAF along with new gaskets as well. The Land Cruiser actually idles a lot better (600 RPM) and the drive ability is so much better. Next step is to take it and get emission tested again, wish me luck.

Also, while I was in there I noticed my "S" shaped hose for the PAIR system was cracked. With that hose NLA from Toyota I asked the guys at Toyota if they could match it, they did not have the exact match but something really close.

Part number 16571-0P210 is a radiator hose for 2008-2013 Highlanders.

Decided to start cleaning the mess of cables in the engine bay.
Changed earth cable attached to engine block and some.how the car is running very low at startup, maybe the idle control valve got effected some how.

I need a major overhaul, it cant be small repairs too much of mess for that.
I need to buy heatshrink as well and redo the temporary fixes
