Polished the turd a bit after the other week’s mishap… vacuumed out the glass, cleaned things up a bit…

Waiting on trim parts, they’ll show up eventually.

Fixed up some rotten weather stripping and inner door mounding. Also chucked some grease on various rollers and gears and a new vapor barrier that’s been on my parts shelf for years. That should fix the wind noise !

I ordered up a set of Yokohama Geolandar G003 MT in 315/75-16. Won't be available in store till Monday or Tuesday. These will be replacing my balding BFG KO2, that have less then the warrantied 50K/5 years.

Not my rig but for attention and for example of what I will be running.

What's a set run?

I ordered some rattle cans of 6M1 from Automotivetouchup about 2-1/2 weeks ago. I just got the shipping notice on Thursday.

I finally installed my sort of pretty valve cover (just painted black with spraymax epoxy primer and satin topcoat) along with the top-end kit of gaskets.
this gave me an opportunity to clean the throttle body and clean my air filter.
I just need to take some slack out of my 3 cables today. I tried to keep the forward nuts in the same positions and only loosen the jamb nuts, but that didn't happen.
I may also go after a different head unit. I have a Kenwood from 2017 that is borderline useless due to software, and I can't usually see the screen anyway. I'm reverting to older tech and will install one of these;

I have to go "rescue" my son's pickup bed trailer from a friend's place because the hitch has been broken off.

I tried out something tonight that I wasn't sure would work.

I have a 3000W pure sine wave inverter and it will run my grinders, a cutoff saw, and even my buzz box welder on the light setting!
Set throttle at 2200 RPM and it provides a constant 14.5 V.

I will throw all the stuff I need on the hitch rack and go grab the trailer some time this week.

I promise a couple pictures.

I bought a pop-up trailer this weekend to follow behind my 80 👍 she’s a little older (2004) but is super good/clean condition!

The “Off road rugged” model of the Starcraft RT10…I’m the second owner apparently.

Looking forward to picking her up officially later this week and taking her out before the season ends!

Got the cruiser up in the San Juan’s and enjoyed spending some time with my dad mountain biking and camping. We are in the process of rebuilding the engine in his 79 FJ40, so his first gen tundra has taken over as being his camping truck recently. We put on some 33 inch Falkens and some Rocky Road sliders and hit the trials. We were both blown way with how solid it was on the trail. We both had no idea it would handle the things we threw at it (Engineer, Poughkeepsie, and Imogene) with such grace.
