I made a little leather console insert, working on making some for the cup holder, pocket, and under the lids.

Got around to doing the other two "cup holders" tonight. For those that like working with leather, this is 5oz vegetable tanned Walpier Buttero that I had left over from some mouse pads / cup holders I made as gifts a while back.

Also, installed a MagMic for my Ham Radio mic on the side of the center console. This things are sweet.

Last week I swapped my FTM400 over from my 100, head unit is installed in the lower console and the face plate is mounted on a RAM ball on the grab handle with a mount from @NLXTACY (Thanks Joey, that mount is killer)

Going to look at / probably buy an 80 tomorrow :D

Few questions:
How do I test A/C during the winter time?

And I noted the front steering knuckles are suspiciously clean on the outside, which makes me a little skeptical, any easy way to check for birf soup / make sure that steering knuckles have grease in them?
Watch the AC clutch engage as well as let it get ice cold. It will cycle while at idle you can hear it and watch it.

Birf soup, don't be scared, you'll be rebuilding the axles anyway and if it doesn't have factory lockers that's great, slap in ARB lockers and 4:88 gears are a DREAM To drive, wheel, rock crawl and highway Mountain smash!!!!!!!

Slee has a great 80 series newbie guide if you didn't already have it.

Super excited for you, good luck!

Used the free Saturday to do my first real job on the 80. Swapped out the diff oil in all 3 diffs, swapped the trans fluid and trans filter, changed the fuel filter, and did a full engine tune up. There was some grease in the front diff so it looks like a birfield job is in my future. I also found a pretty massive exhaust leak coming from the aftermarket header down pipe to the factory cat back. So I’ve got a couple more projects on the horizon.

Check out this one.... from what I last heard is no longer possible to get beaudesert shipped here. Also if you have a credit card that does a fair Australian dollar to US dollar is a pretty good deal.

PPD exhaust
Correct, not possible without much effort

Today I rebuilt both knuckles and put some 97 lx450 brakes on the front.

I feel your pain, exhaust for my Raptor is about the same price. I'm just glad i do not have an airplane, my dad and brother spent $8k to replace the exhaust on their Cessna 182.
I remember ordering electrical components in the past and they always seemed to follow a similar formula for a basically identical part-

Residential - 1x
Automotive - 2x
RV - 3x
Marine - 5x
Aviation - 10x

I should probably add 80 series NLA parts to that list at about 10x as well.

Sometimes all your guns get lost in a boating accident........... 🤪🍻

Thought the govt took all your guns? :p
They're only allowed to have bolt actions with massive flashlights and 2' high bipods to stop Americans from sneaking over the boarder. :flush:
