A 3 day weekend camping and running trails in the UP Michigan. Day one is a blast so far. Had to bust out the traction boards once and added the first pinstripes this LC has ever seen. It only took 30 years for an owner to care enough!

Aired down to 22psi for some beach driving.

The Mouth of the Huron area is worth the drive in the off season. Only 2 other campers here.

I'll be doing some paddling tomorrow and a bit more exploring.

What do you have wrapped around your load/cross bars and did it help with getting rid of the air noise at hwy speeds? I can't even open my sunroof on my LX at 40+ mph because the noise is really annoying.

You need a wind fairing. Round bars make a silly amount of noise

Refreshing the rear brake system. I've done this before, should be finished by noon . I forgot how tricky the e-brake drum system can be. I'm also replacing all the soft lines throughout and probably pulling out the ABS since it doesn't function.

Get an 8-point 1/2" drive socket and use just the first extension of the OEM jack handle (with the hook) with an impact and it makes the OEM jack a joy to use. I keep my socket stuck to the jack using a coin battery sized magnet so I don't lose it. I just store the impact in the truck now and it's great.

That’s smart! Who’da thunk.

I borrowed the idea from another forum. Tightly wrap round soft hose around the bars. It acts as a pad for the board or anything else and completely removes the noise.

Simple, practical and effective:)

Undoubtedly, I will probably have to delete this. But in the meantime, it’s kind of cool when your son goes to homecoming in a Landcruiser.

Washed her. She shines.
