I was in Port Villa in 1978, worked on Black Sands Ranch, then toured the islands on a Burns Philip cargo vessel, was a wild exiting place to be, the natives worshiped a live sea mine on the beach and painted themselves with clay to resemble the USA marines. Million dollar point and the Quonset huts still full of left over USA war gear. Left wen the locals captured the french commissioners daughter during an uprising. Was a British/French gov back then
yes exactly, now it's Vanuatu

Now THAT'S A STORY!

Finished up the swing out.

I am pretty stoked with how it came out. The trail will tell me what I did wrong, probably the internet too.

I live in a hill, the rig isn't that tilted.

Quick license plate relocation

Hinges are from 4xinnovations, I just printed little caps for the bolts.
I really like the license plate relocation bracket. Did you fab it yourself or something off the shelf? Also, does the spare tire affect the rear view camera field of vision? Thanks,!

Glad it was a long weekend, used all of it. Broke a steering knuckle stud while re-assembling the axle, waiting on the mailman again.

Brother I can't even begin to tell you how much it helps my fragile amateur mechanic ego to know that you did this, as I did the exact same damn thing on Saturday! The bolt I snapped was snapped so far up inside the knuckle, I didn't trust myself to remove it. Took the truck to my mechanic, and it took him almost 5 hours of messing with it to get it out. I pretty much spent every dollar I saved from doing the work myself, LOL. Hope the rest of your job goes smoothly.

It is an off the shelf bracket used for flooring I found at home depot. I used the rest of it for a sliding track for the xplore solar panel. The spare was in the field of view but not bad. I added a fuel can tray later. So it was moved again.

Went camping with my new adventure pup. We did a section of the proposed border to border trail up here in MN. Easy trails, but you're in the woods all the time, plenty of spots to play the banjo.

Had my first wild bear sighting while walking the pup for his potty. And as my luck would have it, the bearspray and gun is tuck nicely in the truck lol.

Border to border trail? I'll have to look that one up. I owe my son a good camping trip in the woods! I did the Wisconsin border to border a couple years ago. It was a blast.

Fellow northerners; New up this way and I would love some recommendations on spots to bring the 80 to camp!

if you're in FB, join MinnesotaOverlanders group. A fairly active group and folks are always willing to help out and share some great spots. I personally head up to Superior National Forest for primitive camping and getting away from the crowds.
