What are you doing with the old seamed beam frames? Seamed beam led/hid conversions are a lot easier to get ahold of.
Mine were hid converted so was able to remove the globes despite being an earlier model. Straight swap into the Sahara lights

Wanna sell me your old set?

PM me an offer if you’re happy to pay for shipping from Aus 😅

You know you have a problem when......

I went to 3 hardware stores trying to track down a handful of bolts and 20 nuts this morning. But I only came home with a few nuts and a bunch of other goodies.

I guess some people put there extra money into a savings account. But I just seem to put all mine into ammo....

Quick question for the brain trust. Anybody know what the other end of this connector attaches to? It's behind the glovebox area. Took apart my dashboard recreationally and didn't really document as I went. I don't recommend it!

I'm really hoping I don't have to pull the dash back off to fish out the other end of a wire somewhere.

Please and thankyou!

Factory amp that has been disconnected for aftermarket stereo?

That's my best guess, and it's only a guess.

There is an empty white connector on the stereo harness, I think that's what that one is. I'm not sure about this gray one though. Looks pretty substantial and it's on it's own branch of the harness.

Definately not the amp. Nor the ECU. There is a black box to the left of the ECU, not sure what it is (AC Module?) that it should plug into the top.

I am wrong, it plugs into something behind the ECU. I can see the similar harness wrap on mine and it is routed behind the ECU. I had the ECU out about a month ago and not sure what it connected to.

It's not that. That box is already plugged in. However, thanks to your picture, I've determined I installed that box upside down :)

OK thanks, I'll pull the ECU, easy enough, and have a look back there.

May help you route it pic.

GOT IT! It is just the far-right plug for the ECU. It's on a separate harness so I failed to plug it in when I was plugging in the rest of the plugs on the ECU.

Thanks for the help guys :D :D :D

A must before working on your 80 undercarriage.

Kroil, PB blaster and others just don’t come close. 50/50 this 1-2 hours before

I cut mine by 3rds… acetone, ATF and diesel. Agreed, far superior to any stuff you can buy.

Finished swapping out my body mounts. I am surprised beacause I gained 3/4" of lift with the new mounts. I will drive it for a week and re-torque all the mounts.

It really wasn't to bad of a job, I found it very helpful to put a strap from the axle to frame before trying to jack the body up for swapping the mounts. The two bolts on the front and rear mounts were seized but hitting them with a torch broke them loose.

The hardest one is the mount above the exhuast under the passenger front floor board, it would be smart to pre soak this mount for a few days before starting.
