your going to be way up there with that 1" spacer man. Maybe that full guard and come up will settle it a bit. I'm pretty light yet tho. More weight coming here.

Yeah - Going to shed a couple hundred pounds on the front axle when the LT1 goes in as well. Ugh.
Not sure the full guard adds that much weight and winch is under 100lb.
I would say I feel sorry for you and the situation and the LT1 but instead I will just say hurry it up I want to see it LOL! Starting to set aside money and plan here for one soon. Hope to see a successful solution on that motor... Really hope @torfab can market the adaptor!

Went out to Eureka Springs and Beaver Lake to camp and off-road for a few days. Pretty rainy this time of year but made for some fun off-road.
I finally switched my driver and passenger springs. Turns out, the OME kit was installed wrong way back in 2006 and someone had swapped the DS and PS sides which was causing the Passenger side to be way more lifted. Also I reattached my front fender flare and gave the cruiser a nice cleaning and detail.

Digging deeper, slowly. Having a shop down the road swap out suspension bushings and the ABS tone rings.
@MyWhiteSheep you need to source the old previa "SC" badge. It's somewhat "sleeper." I think there are a couple of folks in the 80 series forum that have one if I remember correctly.
Got out in the woods to see how the new LCA bushings worked out. No more bang when hitting rocks. Spent the day with local Keystone Cruiser OGs. White truck was on it's first shakedown run. Super capable rig.

Just a normal day of wheeling with a stockish RHD HDJ81 (think I have the model correct). I think just a 2" lift and 33" tires.

No pics of the me as I was bringing up the rear and our small group was covering lots of ground.
Driving home my rig was all over the place and had a bad steering wheel wobble. Disconcerting after just having the LCA bushings replaced. That has now led to new tie-rod ends all around, new steering stabilizer and new sway bar links. Hoping the truck drives and tracks straight again after all that. Still no front locker engagement either. Really need to get that sorted, I like having my safety blanket when needed.

Installed the OTRAMM exhaust on my 80 with new header bolts, gaskets, exhaust manifolds, and MagnaFlow downpipe. Previous exhaust was the original factory exhaust and had broken off exhaust hangers with cats that I'm fairly certain were clogged to some degree and limiting outflow.
The OTRAMM exhaust has made a world of a difference. Took a few adjustments to get it positioned so that it wasn't hitting the frame anywhere but now that its dialed in it is amazing. Sounds so much better and truck barely vibrates at all now having the exhaust hangers. I had rigged up a cheap temporary hanger solution for the old exhaust. It could just be in my head but it feels like power and acceleration has improved. The over the frame solution is nice. Clearance is so much better. Have to get down pretty low to the ground to even see it.
Very glad I went with OTRAMM.
Out with the old. Tailpipe and muffler not shown in pic. I had to cut the whole thing into pieces with an angle grinder to get it out because parts of it were so rusted together and inseparable. Also may be wondering why I replaced the manifolds. Several of the heat shield bolts had broken off within the manifolds and were not coming out. Fortunately the header bolts came out easily.
In with the new.

And last summer was HORRIBLE. So many people...
We always manage to find a good spot though. I did a nice multi-day tour from Truckee, Meadow Lake to Bowman, that was fun. Mid-October...

Installed a shiny new (and importantly, not leaky) power steering reservoir, hoses, and clamps on Ochenta, my HDJ81. The original had a growing leak under the seam at the top of the reservoir that was splattering ATF onto the intake manifold. Not the most exciting project, but having one less leak, however small, always feels good.

I was lucky enough to spend a month mapping the geology up there while in school. Mapped around Faucherie and Sawmill Lakes. It was pretty empty, way back then.
While mapping along the ridge west of Haystack Mountain we found the remnants of an old flume built in the talus slope. All the wood was long gone but there were a ton of square nails.
One of my favorite fossils came from near Quartz Hill.
