Quarter panel louver leak culprit?
The gasket for top trim tab was shredded, will fix that. View attachment 2570974
Does the other edge piece coming off the louver itself have anything to do with anything? And confirmed. Both of these are leaking into cab.
Will also assume the bottom bolt is too.

And now the clips.
also going to seal these. View attachment 2571083
I used a little silicone sealant around it too as a little extra piece of mind when I did mine.

Nice clean Install, looks factory. Well done. Where did you get the USB charger plugs?
Thanks, friend. I got the ones in the dash off Amazon (just a male to female adapter to take the 2 usb cables that come off the Sony head unit). They fit good but not great, but I used a little super glue and then shoved them in again... the ones in the center console are these: Finally a fast charge USB to fit an 80 series cut out - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/finally-a-fast-charge-usb-to-fit-an-80-series-cut-out.925782/

Very nice... what did you use to adhere the vapor barrier back on?
I know a lot of people use the 3m rubber but I’ve had a roll of the metal tape (they use on A/C And air handler installs and such) that I got from my HVAC brother in law that i said “now I’ve got a reason to use it”. It ain’t rubber caulking but it works great sealing to the door. And, of course it’s only for some moisture the 15 holes poked in it with cables and screw make it far from ‘water tight’.

Did a little bit of flexing for fun at the school down the street while my son enjoys his new hobby of RC Cars. The wind was whipping so fast it kept blowing his cones away and with 55F it was nice to climb in the back of the LC and kick back out of the wind and let him have his fun. Th e tailgate is a nice workbench for changing batteries and doing anything we need to do with the RC car. So in love with the LC liftgate/tailgate.

It was one of those great weekends where I got to work on the rig Saturday and take it wheeling on Sunday.

Went out exploring with @bcomnes

We did some shooting and found some mud, rocks, sand, and snow to play in.

I did driver side and kept the remains of my tired gasket and then just put silicone on all the screw holes/clips. So far so good, didn't leak during the most recent storm.

Did the same to the passanger side as I had a little lake going on in the bottom of the quarter panel. Been cleaning up previous owners halfway done fixes. Noticed a clip and a clear house just hanging and couldn't find too much info though search. Anyone know exactly what they are for?

Lamely chasing the code 12 i get randomly. Did a quick visual check on the distributor and thankfully no internal oil leaks. Cleaned up the electrical terminals and replaced the cap and rotor. Was 50k miles since last swapped out so i guess it was time.

Since I did the tuffy, I removed my rear heater blower unit which has been bypassed and the little itty bitty kicker powered sub fit under there. I also ran all new wire to the door speakers, and wired in the small Alpine amp 45 watts rms x 4 for the headunit. Sounds waaay better than it did. The headunit is now a Alpine Ilx 207.

Custom built from the shop or did you bring them another Toyota shaft to modify?
Full build. Tacoma shafts are some what scarce up here so I didn't want to spend the time to track one down during the winter. I think I'm going to have a second one built with Toyota joints at some point, but that is just a thought for now.

This one uses 1310 Spicer joints. Install was easy, but took awhile. There is very little space to get the nuts on for the t case side. The setup works much better now. No crazy vibes or lopping going on. I have the slightest decel hum at speed. I am about 2 degrees off between the shaft and the front pinion.
