Made some holes in my newly painted fenders! I used some high grade primer and a paint brush to apply it around the holes for rust prevention.

Finished product!

I have been researching winches for what seems like months. I was leaning heavily toward the Warn 9.5XPS - I spoke with a few people running ComeUp Winches including Christo @sleeoffroad and I was not able to find one single unhappy person, so I gave it a go! ComeUp Slim Seal Gen 2 9.5rs

Installed new speakers as my Polks were fried (too much RMS). Tried the JBL GTO-629's which fit both front and rear for those searching for an alternative to the traditional Pioneers. Did the sound deadening while I was in there.

Used long drywall screws till I can get suitable alternatives... Had to rotate the grills in the front 90 degrees to clear the dash when the door is closed.

Not pictured but by far most satisfying - swapped the rear springs as the PO had them installed backwards (DS on PS and vice versa)... First time the truck has sat level since I bought it!

Wheredya get the seat extension brackets?

They are the landtank seat extensions from Wit's End. Cannot recommend enough if your taller like me, my cruiser became x10000 more comfortable and enjoyable to drive.

How was the install of the winch? I just got my Seal Gen 2s (decided to forgo the wireless remote for now) and the Slee bumper is what my eyeball has a strong liking for.

Better than the Polks which I understood were better than the Pioneers... I'm feeding them 75W RMS from a Rockford Fosgate R400-4D.

Change the fuel filter ..what a pain ..!! even though I had the intake manifold out specially the nut bracket near the block .. thanks Toyota

Went for a dodgy ferry ride coming back to Hatteras from Ocracoke island Friday night. Drove home Saturday. Truck was flawless. Put together my Bowfin rack but haven't put it on yet. Finished up the lift and 35s on my son's Gladiator. I think it came out looking pretty tough. Looks way better than it did with the tiny stockers on it.

Winch install was super straightforward!! I already had my bumper mounted for some time. I just had to loosen everything and pulled it back a bit to fit it in there.

Quick overnight in Death Valley with the family, was also the first time with the Hilux ARB bumper I finished cutting to fit. (The color was a...family decision lol. Never ask an 8 year old girl for paint recommendations...but it makes her so happy. I also kinda like keeping up the Lexus stereotype )

Why post that? Because the '93 had the battery out for a while, and now that it's back in, I can't help but smile at that motor idling along, smooth as warm butter, at ~250rpm

My hippo blanco had a busy weekend! She took the wife and I hiking to what turned out to be a full parking lot, so she parked off in the woods, took my son shooting and got a bit of a shakedown run after the HG work. This drive was down some forest roads and through some mud to a secluded shooting spot for for him to put some rounds through his 1911.
Man, I missed driving this fat girl through slippery stuff. We just idled through axle artilucating mud holes where other have clearly been stuck based on the floormats they tried to use as traction devices.

Then she took the wife and i on another hike and finally got use for a firewood run on the back of the property, where she helped to pull down a tree that didn't fall as planned.

Oh, and finished an alignment after installing my BudBuilt steering arm.

Good to have you back fatty!

Did a couple mods just over a week ago that were last minute mods before leaving for the week long Southwest Adventure trip. First mod was an update to my cheap armrest mod. I did this mod a few weeks ago but after a bit of use I wanted to make a couple changes. I made the actual armrest a bit wider and added additional foam and recovered it with a higher grade material. For long drives, this is very comfortable, and no more leaning over in my seat to rest my arm on the console. Also recovered the console pad with the same material and additional foam.

The other thing I've been contemplating for a while is a better solution for my maxtrax. If I have the tent on the roofrack, the maxtrax won't fit on the rack. The common location of putting the maxtrax on the spare tire isn't ideal either if you use a spare tire trashbag. The "lid" flap of the trashbag cover won't stay out of the way when you open it with the maxtrax on the spare and just becomes an annoyance.
So I decided to make a new mount for the driverside swingout on the rear bumper. Probably should have done this earlier than the night before leaving on a trip but I got it done. It required that I cut off the upright for my fuel can and move it farther outboard. Then relocate my hilift and shovel mount from the outside to the inside of the fuel can so the Maxtrax could fit on the outside. It's a simple frame with 4 of the Maxtrax mounting pins. No time to test it before leaving on the trip but 1300 miles this past week (lots of that on dirt) was a good test and it worked out great.
