Just google or what not "military battery terminals"

Installed new headlight bulbs: Philips 9011 HIR Standard Halogen Replacement Headlight Bulb, 1 Pack (High beam) & Genuine GM Bulb Part# 23342527 (low beam). Check out this post: HIR bulb fiasco - what's latest?

Installed new hood struts: Strong Arm 4551R Hood Lift Support for 819-6182 53450-69015 53440-69015 fr & Strong Arm 4551L Hood Lift Support for D4551L 53450-69015 819-6181 hs . Struts were a direct bolt in and work like a charm. I will be ordering some for the back hatch before long.

Put some new windshield wash fluid in my 80 and then drove for 3 hours into the mountains west of Redding California. What a great rig. Love it.

1997 collectors addition, 246K on the clock. Victory Chariot!! ha ha

I purchased this beauty at the end of July and have been working my way through the rig baselining. What a blast. Thanks everyone for all of your knowledge and guidance.

Pretty painless install minus the panhard bolt not wanting to break free at first. Had to pull the tire to get good leverage on it pushing down.

Huge improvement on the road. Went from constantly correcting on the highway to barely needing to guide the wheel.
10/10 would recommend.

Also drove this and sparked a bit of curiosity into the German world

Looks great!!! Love those arms! What size lift are you running?

Installed the Alpine iLX-W650 head unit to replace the 10yo Pioneer I had in there. Pretty nice having CarPlay in a 24yo Toyota.

If you get them off without breaking them post up how you managed. I sure had no luck.

got one off without any breakage today. Used the method @VivaToy described.

Will make a thread with pics about removing them as there doesn’t seem to be that specific info on this yet. In short the sequence is (once interior panels are removed):
1. Remove lower louver nut inside the D pillar using 8mm deep socket (my bolt was too long for standard).
2. Punch out the upper louver fastener from inside. I used a 5mm socket and extension.
3. gently pry the louver top and bottom just away from the body (careful with the gasket around it - mine separated and it’s really fragile)
4. Holding the top and bottom (especially the bottom as it has a bold attached that could scratch the body) slide the louver down to remove.
The middle louver fastener socket is U shaped and (at least on my ‘97 FZJ80) released without breakage sliding down. The fastener is also slightly angled on the body so a down and slightly toward the rear bumper movement is likely ideal.

Added a PIAA fog bar to the ARB - amazing spread, and sae compliant so I use it way more than off road driving lights, regretfully.

Did a little exploring and found another access to a local river. Than I was looking for a new spot close to home for shooting the rifles because I am elk hunting the next couple of weekends. As I was looking for a shooting spot I came across this weird situation of squatters. They were clearly alarmed by my arrival and immediately started pulling tarps over something. They were even raising chickens. The worst part is that the BLM knows about them and won't do anything about the situation.

That could've ended badly! Yikes.

Get like 10 trucks, camp about 100 feet away with a bunch of dogs and people, shoot guns and crank your music until late at night every night and day. Might make them take a hint.

Breaking Bad camp?

Added moly to the Birfs. Some of you may know this tip, some of the newer guys may not... I’ve seen threads asking what size bolt and socket to use on the Birf fill plug. The easiest way is to use a short 1/2” drive extension mounted with the square female end on the square Birf fill plug. Fits perfectly. Then a 15mm socket on the male end of the extension. Use your ratchet/socket wrench to loosen/tighten the Birf fill plug. See photos.

Haha, maybe for them.

I like that idea. I actually decided to shoot my .308 right next to them. Usually I would have given other people more distance but in this situation I positioned myself close enough to make them nervous....

Breaking Bad camp?

Breaking bad with mountain bikes. The worst kind of tweaker is a granola tweaker.... Oops, I forgot to be political and sensitive. I meant to call them methican americans.

It seems like you ran into a wild west traveling medicine show, sure they sell those magical cure-all elixirs. They were probably getting ready to go to the next town.:);)

Was it just the woman in the photo there alone? If so I'm sure she was very nervous.
