Mostly finished up my 4x4labs kit bumper and also started sorting out my trail spares kit...got a driveshaft from @Deathvalleypaul last weekend, so lubed up the U-joints and strapped it into place (thinking I should get some hose clamps to back up the heavy duty zipties.)

Tomorrow I'm hoping to fab up a quick and dirty MTB rack and also the second swing arm to hold 2x Waterbricks + propane tank + garden sprayer...did some wood prototyping to validate the general idea today. (Actual implementation will be rotated 90º from this pic, so double sided w/ water + cylinder holder.)

From personal experience, I'd suggest more than zipties to hold that spare driveshaft in place. Ask me how I know. ;)

Replaced leaky fuel injectors. I pulled them out and found out why, PO must’ve not seated #6 in properly. Hopefully this gives us better than 11 mpg, not holding our breath though.

Was able to get the covers off after drilling out a few of the bolts. Used some Rustoleum rattle can to paint them. Came out more orange than I wanted but definitely looks better than the faded pink look. Also added the poser d-ring shackles.

I'd like to replace these at some point but I have been told I'm on Land Cruiser spending probation until the boss gets new patio furniture and a 200 series I promised her months ago.

Also just noticed this chipped paint under the grill. Any tips on how to treat this so it doesn't spread?

Some titan straps might work well

Oh that’s a good idea. I just ordered some 6 and 8” hose clamps but I actually have some titan straps around...maybe I’ll wind up with all three haha. The first hour of trail driveshaft replacement will be getting this thing out from under. 😛

105 series. 105 hoses and a shaved off bracket.

good eye ;)z

Part numbers? Assume you ordered from Partsoq or Amayama? Does it have the 3rd line on the bottom? Let me know if there's anything you don't like about the setup. I have that hideous vatozone canister.

I bought the same ones. I've gotta say, I love bright lights, but even after focusing these correctly, they are just too bright. The wife said that they were paralyzingly blinding. Not sure if that's a word, but you get the point. Be careful. I took mine out earlier this week and went back to a good set of Phillips for fear of getting into an "Unhinged" road rage issue from someone in front of me. Yea, they're that bright. YMMV

Yeah, I could see that potentially being an issue but so far, so good. I'm not trying to blind anyone, but the stock bulbs are pretty much garbage. The only thing that I've noticed so far is that the LEDs aren't quite lining up at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock.

Rolled the Cruiser over the trailer (yeah it needs stops) and almost into the bed of the Tundra.. one beer and a new pair of shorts later dropped it off to my buddy.. she’ll be running pretty soon!

The canister itself was cheaper on Ebay, I have a thread on the mod below.
OEM Charcoal Canister Replacement

Yes it has the 3rd hose. I actually ordered all 3 105 hoses on Partsouq.

The intake hose works, however I would keep the 80 hose as its longer and fits better. The exhaust hose works great since is a flexible hard line, see pics in thread.

The 105 bottom breather hose can not be used since its a hard line. I got some gates fuel hose from the local auto parts store.

It has become a tradition for me to go camping and relax every weekend before a new semester starts. This weekend we did some camping and fishing at 10,800 feet above sea level. The cruiser ran great and the trip was amazing.

The forest service had been doing some work and they had found this old ww2 two track that had been repurposed for an old logging operation. They dragged it out of the woods and set it next to the trail. It was pretty cool.

Long weekend... Friday evening was Belts, AC compressor, drier, and expansion valve with a full system flush.

Saturday was inner axle seals and bearing repack. Couldn't tell the difference between what was in the knuckles and what was in the diff. gooooooeeeey

Sunday was cleanup odds and ends from Saturday, fill front diff and change gear oil in rear diff and TC. Pumped till my arms felt like they were falling off. Need to get drill driven oil pump for next time...

Rodney flushed the trans, filled with walmart's finest full synthetic Valvoline.
Am I crazy to think it really helped out, and the old fluid was just toast? It doesn't bang into gear like it used to, anymore.

What did I do this weekend, well I bought one and towed it home 8 hours. Then proceed to do a compression check to determine if the first thing I do is pull the head. It also got into a pissing match with my wrangler during the compression test. Looks like head will be coming off because after doing a cooling system pressure test coolant is just pushing straight into the 5th cylinder. Odd though the oil and coolant look like they aren't mixing.

White SUPER Power eh?

Lol. Don't let the memes get to you man. Your temps seem absolutely normal and you have nothing to worry about, especially with a relatively recent cooling system refresh. Overheating really isn't super common or that big of an issue with these trucks at all. Keep an eye on your temps like you are, and you will likely be fine. Don't overthink it or let those thoughts ruin your trip - that's ridiculous.
LOL, those damn nemes! thanks @Bludozer. Sage Advice.
Did the trip to Sierras, 90+ ambient heat did not have an issue.
At one point the coolant spilled out of the overflow when I stopped for gas even though it was not overfilled. I must have had air in the system is what I figure. When it engine cooled I check the coolant level in the radiator itself and it was full, overflow as a little low so I refilled it to the fill line. Not sure, guess I'll just keep monitoring.
