Also I don't fill the entire cavity with grease, I only put in 30 or so pumps when I installed these and will pump in another 10 or so when I grease my drivelines.
I figure the ultimate gauge will be how much and how high the grease line on the knuckle is on the outside. If your knuckle wipers aren't wet with grease half way up... your running dry in my opinion

I have had this on for about 18mos. This was right after I put them on. I simply unscrew it a bit, put the grease gun on, add some grease, and good to go. Loosening it a bit lets the air out, but I'm not that worried about it. Super clean and easy. No more messing with a baggie full of grease.

I just pull the plug and stuff the end of my grease gun in the hole and pump away :meh:

That works too, I just worry about dirt, etc. falling down in there.

Plus, this is MUD so why not overthink everything.

Do you have a link to where you purchased that plug with the zerk in it?

Celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary Covid 19 style, dinner with a beach view at one of my favorite spots, the back of the 80. Followed by a sunset cruise on Pacific Coast Hiway

That hood makes me very sad. :crybaby:
Sorry @cruiserdan, just got the truck... its next on the list! I promise ;)
I'm using it for polishing practice.
Btw, whatever you do - dont look at my rocker panel. ..

ps.

Also those holes are enough to cause some dangerous wind pressure on the hood at higher speeds? Risking the hood flying up...Dont ask me how I know...but I was very sad as Well

Check with @slow95z and @arcteryx to see if one would have a hood that's in good shape (and maybe in your color) to ship to you.

I can't ship anything large right now, Fastenal stopped doing the 3pl shipping and other options are crazy expensive.
