finally fixed my @#%ing airbag light. Ended up being the airbag control module behind the center console. For 95-97 cruisers part # 89170-60010. I gambled and bought a used one off eBay and it worked.
also relocated a small amp to the glove box. We will see how that works out.
And finally fixed my seat leather! Wright up on that coming soon.

I believe you can fit that amp behind the glove box with minor trimming... @woodsman 44 ?

thanks to mud, i figured out the vibration with my wheels. I run a spydertrax spacer which i didn't realize need proper centering with 3 conical lugs. Duh! All along i've been blaming the BFG KO2s.

I was glad i was able to take care of this since we just came back from exploring the Buffalo Gap Grasslands and northwest of Black Hills. Night and day, compared to my last trip out to CO (which is 2x the drive!). Feeling dumb and relieved.

And the highlight of the weekend, my boys took the wheel for the first time!

That's awesome. My favorite spaces on Earth. I want to take dirt roads from Scottsbluff through to the Black Hills one day. Sort of my dream trip.

A JIS bit from @NLXTACY shimmed into a 1/4” socket makes easy work of the cowl screws. How in the heck did all those leaves wedge themselves in that tight?

Drained my rear diff and refilled with fresh oil. Pulled the starter and cleaned the contacts. No workie. Ordering contacts and plunger.

Im doing some drawing and measuring. I have a hairbrained idea about bolting an fj40 bumper on my 80.

My bumper guy Is not emailing me back, I can't afford a Slee, as beautiful as they are, and I'm currently rocking two black fence mounts with a burnt piece of wood 'Shou Sugi Ban' style, since it is Japanese. This is a great idea!!! I'd love to know what difficulties you had if you ever do it!
