New center instrument panel. PO trimmed the hell out of the original to fit a POS Scion stereo. Now all fits and looks clean again around the head unit....

Set up a basecamp in the Volcanic Tablelands after running Black Canyon up White Mountain and did an overnighter into the Caldera on my new titanium 29+ mountain bike. Driving through Long Valley is one thing but holy hell, carrying 10L of water into a headwind up a 30 mile climb is a whole 'nother ball game. Felt good to be back at the truck with a full size stove and a fridge at hand.

@Obrokoff! Nice job. I have to visit you in august 2020. Will be @Kamtschatka during this time.

Have done some stuff on my 80 too. Fixed the strange noises from the exhaust.

Turned out to be a broken support rubber and broken resonator bracket. Manufactured a new support from a rubber block. Also cut the exhaust system after the muffler and installed a turndown tip. Had this problem already twice. If you are intrested in what's needed and how to do it:

So I picked up a new DVS Center Console for our Alu-Cab camper conversion. I added 4 dual USB high output ports to the front and drilled a hole in the bottom and added a grommet to prevent chafing of the power wires. As this is for a Step for us to get into our tent, I added no slip tread tape to the top.

This weekend I changed out the old ORIGINAL catalytic converter on one side that had many many rust holes witch I think a few horses were escaping out. somebody did a bad bad job welding in a o2 sensor too and that also caused many leaks. luckily It is all fixed. tomorrow after work its a plug and wire change. top picture is the new down pipes. the old ones were very crusty!

Dont let the fact that the 200 doesn't have a solid front axle fool you. It's no rock crawler but I have been more impressed with my wife's 200 than any other cruiser I own. It has handled everything we have thrown at it and is slowly becoming the go to vehicle for our trips. It will climb just about anything without lockers. The MTS works great. On our last trip we went every where the jeep guys went with no problem. That being said the lifted 80 will do it easier but the stock 200 is an absolute beast of a vehicle.
I agree, my wife’s 200 is great. It very stable in the turns with the kinetic suspension. And it pulls a boat like a truck. It pulled out a Dodge 1500 a f250 and a gmc 1500 when they all got stuck in my neighbors yard, it’s a beast.

Installed Slinky coils and Icon shocks up front, will take care of rear shocks, coils and black hawk control arms in the next few days.

3 rigs and I followed our “guide” in his Suzuki Sammy (called the Ho-Hummer) through some high country trails. “Ya, a stock 4x4 should be fine” he said, and “oh ya, ah ha, that’s the last tough one”.
Well I now know just how capable a stock rig is because we smashed through some hard core obstacles for novice wheelers in stock rigs. Ok, I have a 1.5 inch-ish lift, and one 4 runner had rear lockers. The cruiser ended up winching everybody up and over the last obstacle backwards (with the snatch-block) and skirting them around one by one.

Top notch 1 day adventure for sure, can’t wait to follow the ho-hummer blindly into the mountains again, hopefully next time I’ll have lockers and 33s.
