Got my first rock chip on the way to a camp site. Smack dab in the middle of driver's view, after owning the rig for more than 3 years. So much for my virgin, untouched, Japanese, brown tinted glass.

What front bumper you running? I used to get lots of chips and cracks.. it was because of my "rock crawling style high clearance bumper".
Part of the bumpers job is to deflect rocks coming from YOUR front tires. You can actually break your own windshield with rocks your tires throw forward that bounce into your rig! I added some rubber to the front of my bumper to cover the tires, the rubber will deflect on big rocks I'm crawling over but will catch small ones coming from my tires. YMMV

I got nailed on the way to work this morning. Grrr.

Just returned from our annual 2200 mile family vacation to Cape San Blas, FL.

Weather was awesome, fishing was even better! Spanish Mackerel, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and several sharks (those didn’t come into the boat 😳). We ate like kings! 👍

LX ran like a top. 98 degree ambient, AC pushing ice cold air, cruise set at 70, pulling 1800 lb trailer, engine temps floated between 193-197, for 16 hours straight. What’s not to like? 🙂

I stood on the tailgate to take a photo of the sunset:

Change out your bleeder screws or at least pull them and clean them out. Mine were rusted shut
We are in a pretty rust free area, but it seems like a worthy idea.

ABS delete, and went wheeling.

FINALLY was able to operate my rear hatch key cylinder for the first time since purchasing the LC. Had new keys cut at the dealer. :bounce2:

Received a care package from Australia containing a Yellow Box. Hopefully will be able to install that later this week. Also have my 30K fluid to swap into my fan clutch.

Is that an Alu-Cab roof conversion? How do you like it? I've seen the conversions on troopies, but not on an 80 before

Better mines a CampTeq.

How about a troopy on a 80's chassis with a carbon fiber poptop

After replacing the AC compressor on Saturday I got around to having the AC recharged today. My friend who owns a shop did the work for me. It is nice having AC back and rolling around with the windows up now in this 105+ heat.

Looking into getting the upgraded blue fan clutch from @NLXTACY when I have the money available. I currently have the black but would like a little more reassurance in these AZ summers.

Gave the new Icons a test on a little camping trip.
