Finally got around to installing the "Generic" mirror mount from Wits end. Excellent job @NLXTACY as always. Very sturdy and well built piece. Considering all my other vehicles are GM, this is one little thing that I've always missed in my 80. My life is complete now lol. Of course now that I look at the pic, I see I stuck my alarm antenna crooked on there so I need to re-do that :( . I also installed the useless ashtray switch mount a while back. No switches yet, but it does an excellent job of holding my baofeng.

Drove it to the trail head for my favorite local overlook and got in a quick overnighter before the holiday weekend crowd overran the place.

After a year of owning, and only changing the fluids I’ve finally changed the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, belts and oring for the distributor. I’m still waiting on a couple heater hoses, and radiator hoses and fuel filter to come in. I’ll be changing hoses and fishing the radiator and heater core next weekend.

Got back from Spain on Thursday. Ended up buying a few cruisers Some will be on their way to the United States soon, one will have to wait a few years.

For anyone with time to spend and content with paying to ship and import, there are some nice cruisers in northern Spain. Specifically Catalonia area. There is a water bottling company that has been in a family for generations. They have Several 80 series Cruisers. When the guy retires he said he would contact me to buy all of them. I’m not holding my breath, but they all have under 50,000 km currently.

Did and impromptu right side knuckle job and brakes yesterday and today. Tomorrow I will do the left brakes and hopefully don’t need to do the knuckle. That said, I will probably order the parts and do the left side this week. Ugh…

Got to explore some areas I've never been to before in the San Diego back country. Real nice and not many others around. Spent 1 night before heading home.

Richie, Is it an optical illusion or do you have something going on with your front drivers side control arm?

... radiator cap ...

That thing is hammered! Surprised the stealership drones missed the opportunity to sell a new one on their "172 point inspection". Was it a cosmetic or floor mat or windshield cleanliness, type inspection, that is mechanic 101, or less?

Probably my fault - shoulda asked for the 173 point inspection.

I also see it..... It does look like something isn't right.

Just curious where at? Headed out there soon.

There's just about endless trails east of San Diego, but this particular area was within a mile of the border, near Tecate.
