Bear proofing? Tent with a roll cage??
hahaha, it's an exoskeloton air tube that fills up in about 60 seconds. It raises the tent as you pump air into it with a hand pump, no poles, weighs 5 lbs. Airs down pretty quickly too. My 4 year old wanted to help so it took about 5 minutes.

I had no idea we had Buffalo in AZ, North Rim.

The north rim is more remote and, therefore, very beautiful. We saw bison miles out in the woods as we drove the narrow rough roads some 25 miles out to Sublime Point a couple years ago. We stayed in a tiny cabin at Jacobsen Lake. Definitely worth going back.

You decide to hang on to the old girl for awhile?

Gonna fix all the little things that it needs. Then if I get the right offer I will sell. THis will just make it that much easier to sell later on down the road... Maybe...

more info on the tent please? Can it withstand gusty wind??

The tent is made by HeimPlanet and called The Cave, a German company:

I've had it for five years now and camped in it dozens of times, this was one of the first editions when the company was a startup.

Wind: I've been on the edge of the Mogollon Rim here in AZ (elec. approx 7800') with winds howling at me in excess of 40mph. The wind pushes the tubes around and they give a little, which I think is better than ridged poles. I've also camped where it dumped over 6" of snow on me, with the same wind, same cliffs. All's good.

I've had a few issues with the tubes leaking air, you can pinch off the tube to prevent the whole thing from collapsing if you're in the woods. I repaired them like a bike tire back home. That can be a pain in the arse but it was due to me over inflating so it was my fault.

I dig it, function and form.

Awesome camping trip in the Chattahoochee National Forest, including some fun technical descents down the backside of Tray Mountain.

Nice rig. I’ve done Tray Mtn. once and found it quite tame. Must not have taken the right turn!

Is this you? My brother sent me this pic today:

It'll be harder to sell once its all fixed since you'll change your mind. I admit, its very satisfying to open up the hood and no longer see what appears to be remnants from the Valdez oil spill in there.

Might want to blur out the license plate before posting, not everyone will appreciate having their license plate all over internet.

(or thorns...)

The first time I ever used it I arrived to my camping spot late in the night, I threw it down, pumped it up and woke up only to realize I was on top of thorny shrubs, hahahaa, I moved it in the morning. It has a double layer of material to prevent pops.

Point noted, and I edited the image for the owners integrity. But do you blur out your license plate when you drive around town? :p :worms:
